For the last too many years at around this time of the season we would all be talking about trying to be bowl eligible. Everyone on Horn fans would try and figure out what games we would or would not win to become eligible. With six games left, bailor is our next victim on Saturday. The Horns are now #9 in the AP poll and life is good and getting better. We beat blow/u last Saturday and payback is coming to okie/lite and tech. I can't wait to see what bowl we land.

 

I hope we can continue the winning ways but right now Texas football feels good again. With our A game I think we could realistically win out.

Read a tweet from an OU fan that said the difference between UT, Aggie and OU is, at 4-1, UT is hanging National Championship banners, Aggie at 3-2 thinks they’re as good as Alabama. Meanwhile, OU is 4-1 and no one is happy.
I might add that Saban was LIVID about giving up 31 points to Arkansas despite scoring 65.

They played their first real competition and got manhandled. Boo hoo sooner.

 

I have seen OU hang pre-season National Championship banners. Someone remind them they haven't won since before most of their freshmen were born.

The gooners are upset right now because they got their asses whipped by a rival in front of 5.6 million viewers.

Since I got 2 eyeballs ratings on this, I feel I must explain. My poop rating was a joke that moondog was poo-pooing the idea of our discussing which awesome bowl we may go to vs the point of the original post. All in good, clean (?) fun.

Lets just say that it is fun being a longhorn fan these days!! Winning is fun!! I really like the leadership on this team and that the players have bought in to what Herman is selling. The biggest reason for our success this year is our physicality! If we continue to play our game each week, I feel like we can beat anyone. We must stay focused one game at a time. Lets stay humble and beat Baylor!!!

Boys and girls, Tom may have a big challenge keeping this team up for this weekend. Everybody, incuding fans and administrators are higher than a kite after last weekend. And rightly so.

However, remember that the margin of win over Tulsa and K-State was slim. Baylor has a very good quarterback and receiver and they have a coach that may be on a par with Tom. For sure he has the same coaching profile as Tom; hardnosed play with emphasis on conditioning and fundamentals. Overall his team is outmanned by Texas, but that sometimes only matters when teams are equally motivated.

This is a real coaching challenge for Tom. Glad it is a home game.

I can't wait to see Ingram get enough carries to explode on someone. This Saturday would a great time for that to happen
