Although I didn’t see Riley’s weekly show, that’s what I was told by someone who did. Apparently it was pretty pathetic. But is anyone surprised? That’s what Sooners and Aggies do. I’m glad we never do.

Yep, the refs threw that OSU game in 2015 and Charlie didn’t say a word. It was the most one sided game from an officiating standpoint in memory.

    WorsterMan SEC here we come!!

The heat and fallout from THAT loss started when the game clock hit 0:00. Great gnashing of tooth in the sooner nation started.

Since then Riley has fired his DC and evidently started blaming refs for the loss. I suspect he had to look like he was taking some action...

Yeah Riley, I too wanted to complain about the refs calls. You know... about all the missed PI calls on sooner DB's and LB's that were draped all day on UT WR's!!!

WORSTER....you are correct, sir....have watched the game a dozen times, since and it was almost PI on every play....our guys caught the ball a lot with a guy already draped on him....

The killers were the 3 holding calls on us in the 4th quarter. Without favorable calls to the sooners, they never even get a chance to catchup and we win by 2 scores. They could not stop us at that point without the refs help.

Of course he does. Has to be something other than his coaching doesn't it?

I just wonder what he is complaining about. His db's did everything short of a__ raping our WR's.

Anyone know why there's been no mention of this by the national media?

The oSu game's ref is a guy that is controller for an Atlanta based firm that finances medical and dental equipment. The head of Big XII officials was Walt Anderson, dentist from Sugar Land. (Hand picked by Donnie Duncan, which should tell you everything you need to know.) We also had dentists from Cali-prune-ya, from Colorado Springs, and a medical software salesman from Nebraska. None of these are Big XII officials, but rather rejects from the BigSky and MWC.

Pathetic that a Power 5 shares officials with ******** conferences, AND that the Big XII's best referee is sent to Anderson's alma mater to work the Sam Houston/SFA game.

Exit Anderson, and enter Greg "Walleye" Burks, reject from the BigSky. (I invite you to go back and review some of our games he worked.) Virtually every official for last Saturday's OU game was a BigSky reject, who went through Anderson's NFL "grooming program" a few months back. Doesn't a game commanding the largest audience call for the conference's best official?

I had great hopes that Dr Boren would clean house in Las Colinas before he left. Instead, we are still saddled with the "brilliance" of Bowelsby and his overwhelming incompetence. The conference only has two competent referees, and both Mike & Cooper are saddled with crews which can only be compared to Houston's old Gulf Coast Chapter.

As for the holding calls in critical situations, I actually said at the time, "the ghost of Marvin Durrenberger returns".

SH, what leverage does Texas and OU have, if any? Even though (I am assuming) Fenves won’t go there, my guess is that CDC would, and will. In your opinion, is there any realistic hope that pressure will be applied to fix this lingering issue?

Also, in general, I thought that the officiating last Saturday was relative good and even-handed. In fact, we dodged a huge bullet when the Boyd targeting hit in the first quarter was missed. Had it been the NFL, Mr. Boyd would be about $25,000 lighter in the wallet this week.

If he thinks it was the refs fault, why did he fire his DC?

Riley allowed his obviously distraught quarterback take the blame for the loss at the press conference. Then they fired the defensive coordinator, blaming him. Now it’s the refs fault. At what point does Riley act like a HEAD coach and take some of the blame himself? Even if he believes in his heart he’s the greatest coach in the world and can do no wrong?
