With ND playing now and the other 2:30 games, all of them possible loses by the higher ranked team. We could move into the top 5 if we win and they all lose. So far, Pitt had a 10 minute scoring drive on ND in the first 7-0 Pitt. I think we see at least three losses of teams ranked ahead of us today.
Also, Oklahoma State looks to have one of their worst teams in quite a while. They already had Iowa State and Tech both put up 40+ on them, and the Tech game was a blowout despite being in Stillwater.
Last year most Big XII teams had very experienced QBs and we were (yet again) working with a true Freshman and a true Soph. This year, teams like Okie Dokie State, KSU, TCU, etc. are the ones experiencing the growing pains of playing less experienced QBs while we are seeing our guy maturing before our eyes.
Also, looks like Oklahoma State only gave Justice Hill 11 carries. Even given that KSU slows the game down and limits the total # of plays for both teams, and that OSU was behind in the 4th and mostly passing, that seems low.
Looks like ND is going to hold on for the win. LSU will probably leap from us if they shut out Georgia. Washington might lose. Penn St. will probably win.
Some big losses and lucky escapes, especially Central FL. A penalty kept Memphis from trying a very makeable FG to win.
LSU will jump Texas who might move up one place. aggy will move closer to the Top 15 if not in the Top 15. State Penn and the PAC 12 Champion are eliminated from any CFP discussion.
Hate to say it but LSU will jump us as they have beaten 3 top 10 teams so far........we will go to #7.
But when we lose a game, and we will, the media will portray it like we choked away a championship when we shouldnt really be there....yet.
