Sad to hear that about Bowman. Hope he recovers fully before coming back.
I think Texas can keep up in the scoring dept, just having some doubts about the D stopping them.

    This is not unrealistic.

I remain an optimist this week.

    HORNS

we are down at half time by 17
Gary Johnson takes over 2nd half ... two forced fumbles
Stearns finally gets back into place for at least one pick ... a bit cloudy, but perhaps even a center field catch/a la punt reception deep downfield preventing the Techie "lock it" TD.

    1000+ yards total combined offense.

Dion, if El Sapo wins the Prediction Trophy next week, I am hereby preemptively filing a protest.

Hard to make a guess at this point not knowing if Bowman is playing or not. Duffy isn't a great passer, but our defense still doesn't know the QB is an eligible runner.

Hopefully we go back to the lightening dime package and add some new blitzes to it. Seems our blitzes are getting picked up, and Orlando went with a 3-5-3 cloud defense against WVU that got us carved up. D needs to bring pressure if they do, this could be a blowout. I think Orlando will be more aggressive against Tech.

Here is a weird sort of toss up game. I'm thinking their offense is better than our defense.

And that our offense is better than their defense.

And that neither team can stop the other team.

I'm thinking their defense is better than our porous defense while the two offenses is a wash. Then we are there at night.

Sometimes the good guys don't win.
I am not saying they have better athletes on defense maybe they will just play better as a unit. Boyd, esp., better be on his game. Plus I believe Hagar and Davante won't be out there. Don't know about Jones. I'm thinking the game is a little closer than the final score just that tech manages to score the last 14 points.

    WorsterMan SEC here we come!!

Still not over the game vs. WV......

Lot of players out on D and or banged up for the game in Lubbock. Hope I'm wrong about this:

    Tech 45***
    Horns 34***

*** If Bowman doesn't play, this score will be reversed (his backup is green - terrible passer and mediocre runner).

If Bowman is out with his injured lung, I think we win.

The backup, Jett somebody, wasn't impressive, but, of course, he'll get to play against our defense. OSU was ready to bench Cornelius until we saved his career.

After putting up 31 points in the first half, Bowman sank down to one knee after he came out of the tunnel for the second half. He looked to be in bad shape. Can't imagine they'll bring him back again.

We saved Kingsbury's job last year. Let's not do it again.

I'm holding out until I know which of our alleged leaders cannot be bothered to show up to meetings on time this week...knowing what the roster of walking wounded looks like is also a key.

One down, two to go on the way to a 7-2 conference record and, depending on how things go, maybe a chance to play in the conference championship game.

    4th_floor Dude, where's my laptop?

I predict the defense will seek to atone for 2 consecutive miserable performances.
