Not good for the rivalry. Next thing will be Texas having to omit “OU Sux” from their fight song.

    Snowflakes are running the league.

If Breckyn Hager can't say "OU sucks" outside of a game with no sooners around, no one should be allowed to do horns down while they're on the field.

"OU sucks" isn't in the fight song, but fans will still be allowed to say it. What players do and what fans do are different stories. It'd be essentially impossible to enforce a rule on what tens of thousands of fans are saying or doing.

There still will be plenty of people in the stands doing it. That won't be a penalty, will it?

Is this an actual question? I have a hard time telling when people switch back and forth between an honest discussion and internet trollery.

In that case, yes. They're hiring that out of work actor who played the Dr Pepper vender to walk around throwing flags at people, which will be monogramed on one side with the Big XII logo and on the other side with the message: "Remember, we have an ACTUAL championship game. Suck it, SEC!"

I know I’m on the outside of this discussion. I say good. It is poor sportsmanship. I have always thought that.
And save the snowflake comment there, hoss. Me being pissed at some jackass doing the downward horns is an opinion and the easy way out is to play the snowflake card when people disagree.
And this might get me banned here. I live for Longhorn football, but not once have I said OU sux for the same reason. I hate them( you know what I mean) , but for me- and again gents I have the right for me, I can’t say they suck.
I freakin love Hager, hell I tried to get my wife to name my now 31 year old son Britt. But he was wrong as a team captain to say what he did. That suck word, I hate it.

It really has nothing to do with being a "snowflake". If you have a rule in a sport that disallows unsportsmanlike conduct or taunting, then flashing the horns down sign clearly fits into those categories. If they decide not to make it a penalty, I would be fine with that but I am sure we have all seen some very subjective and questionable penalties called for actions that were far more subtle than this. I am just for consistency.

    WorsterMan SEC here we come!!

Honestly, I'd like the refs to concentrate MORE on getting the right calls / decisions made in officiating the damn football game than focusing on opposing players doing the Hook 'Em sign down.... I've seen it done all my life, it's not something you can stop - I could give a rats *** if fans or players do it.

So, I guess there should be no unsportsmanlike penalties? I honestly would be fine with that since it has no real outcome on the game.

Stupid rule in my opinion. If anything, allow only OU to do it. Bring the hate!

If its unsportsmanlike penalty, could mean ejection if its second occurrence.

Dont expect it to dissuade Sooners, especially if they get up quick.

A late hit, last guy pushing that gets flagged, talking smack, then later flashes the horndowns..I would not be surprised to see a Sooner knucklehead ejected.

If we get up 20 in the fourth quarter again, Kyler might decide to skip the postgame, do a double horns down to the UT bench and get himself tossed.

It's a stupid rule. But if it's a rule, so be it.

It should be a penalty. I liken it to the same as the throat slit gesture and flipping the bird.
