My friend in Italy says, as far as he can tell, the original protest was organic. People were pissed off about what the new price of gas was going to be after all of Macron's globalist taxes were in place. He says, however, it was not long before other groups started showing up too, trying to convert this one into their own campaign. He says now the Marxists and Antifa are in there burning ****.

This seems to be how these things evolve. Ukraine and Syria are other examples where a core of protesters gets taken over by extremists (or even terrorists) and the momentum builds.

But another observation is that for better or worse, when elections - the democratic process, - doesn't bring about change, it takes massive public participation and usually violence to make change.

The Macron jock-sniffers from earlier this year seem to have grown quiet

France’s government will face a no confidence vote in parliament on Thursday

(at about same time Conservative lawmakers in Britain gathered the votes necessary for a no-confidence vote on Prime Minister Theresa May's role as party leader)

    NYT -- "Motivations unclear"

".... witnesses had heard the attacker yell “Allahu akbar,” or “God is great” in Arabic, and that the targets and the suspect’s profile justified the opening of a terrorism investigation.

“It might be the biggest Christmas market in France — you’d never think of an attack when you hear the first gunshots,” said Marc Meyer, 32, who was standing by the market’s giant Christmas tree when he saw a panicked crowd rushing toward him ...."

Poor Muslim is triggered with all the heretical Christmas celebration all over the West. What is a faithful Muslim to do?

A French General authored a letter to Macron, along with ten other generals, an admiral and colonel, which also includes former French Minister of Defense Charles Millon, warning Macron against signing the "UN Global Migration Pact." They complain that it would strip France of more sovereignty and provide an additional reason for “an already battered people” to “revolt”.

Thjis group, which is highly decorated military, assert Macron is “guilty of a denial of democracy or treason against the nation” for signing the migration pact without putting it to the people.

American cop would have murdered the retired boxer for throwing hands. Fearing for their lives and whatnot.

Any and every American cop, or just some American cops? If just some American cops, to what percentage of the cops out there do you believe your statement applies?

Again, you posted that "American cops" would have killed the guy.

I agree some cops are trigger happy meatheads who need to be removed from any public safety role. Some of these meatheads are themselves minorities, or "brownish", to use your ugly terminology.

I agree minorities are more often the tragic recipients of the trigger happy meathead's poor decision making/training.

Now answer my question. To what percentage of cops do you believe your statement applies? If you are unwilling to answer, perhaps you should modify your original post so you're not painting all cops with such a broad brush.

In the aforementioned article, all 8 of the cops opened fire. All of them. 100%

Statistically, the police murder rate is higher for whites than minorities. However, the police non-lethal physical altercation rate is higher for minorities.

Lost in all this is that France is the first place that a Communist revolution took place. The Paris commune was used a blue print by the Bolsheviks.

These French drivers are protesting high taxes but they are doing it from a very Left, socialist view point. This won't end in more freedom and less government. It will end in more.

What are the statistics on minorities that deserve an *** whipping in non-lethal encounters?

He wouldn't have been shot, but he would have rightfully been beaten and arrested. There are a couple of simple rules to follow when dealing with the police. One of which is: don't hit a cop. The "police" in that video were useless. As far as the retired boxer, he should follow the common sense rule of; don't hit a shield or helmet with your bare hands.
