Why is aggy recruiting considered so high?

Yeah, but he is aggy. He enjoyed the piquant taste of it, no doubt.

Texas and Texas A&M need to play each other in football again simply for the sanity of their social-media savvy (and salivating) fans.

    Wrong.

Also, Its thoughts like this one that keep the whole world chuckling at aggy.

That’s another thing: Only three teams from the state have won a national title since 1938, and the two besides Texas were TCU in 1938 and A&M in 1939. UT has won four titles since, including the state’s most recent in 2005.
Chortle. 1938. That would only be significant to an aggy. I am actually surprised he went back one year from 1939 to include a TCU championship, but I guess even an aggy knows that would have been bad optics.

Its seems the media types are the only ones who really want UT and a$m to play again, but they are all unified in calling for it. I personally do not know any UT fans who are in favor of this. There may be some, but not in my circle.

It is mostly the media as it gives them content to write about.

Zwinnerman is essentially the mouthpiece for the aggy Athletics Dept. And so was the last guy before him. Ex-Chron guy John Lopez is the same for sportsradio now. Whatever that AD wants out, those people get it out.

It's been going on for a long time there. I remember back when email was invented, I got into it Mickey Herskowitz over whether "texas aggies" was a real thing. He assured me it was. For a little while there, people actually responded to emails.

1 this is a funny statement regardless.
2 IBM has had email since the 60s. Whereas the word EMAIL has been around since 1979.

Thanks. I had a red eye flight this morning and was too tired to search for a link. I saw it in the morning paper before heading my way to the bedroom.

my circle is full of ex-military(predominantly aggie) and there would be a huge benefit to claiming 'scoreboard' every year.

To me, rivalries are what college football is all about. Trash talking with my military buddies and misguided high school friends in the lead up to the game is central to college football.

I don't know anyone that went to USC, NoderDame, Alabama, or Clemson, besides the random work-dude. Ragging on the dads of the kids in our scouting group, or soccer team or church is where its at.

    Bring it back!!!!

Alot of Houstonian Longhorns like me just get Aggie ram rodded up there *** every day. Some never want to play them again and some do. I have become so sickened by Aggie lately, I am fine just to never see that maroon uniform at DKR ever again. I have seen a lot of unethical, and just generally bad behavior by Aggies in the Oil and Gas Industry. They love themselves and hate the rest of us. Let them rot as doormats to Alabama, LSU, MSU, etc.
    :puke:
Some Longhorns have not had the experiences I have had with Aggie, I just speak for me.

My favorite game was A&M and especially when played at their place.

Beating them there was so good and then listening to them depart the stadium singing about how they had sawed our horns off.

Try to imagine the Bamas chanting Rammer Jammer after the Clemson game for a taste of that pleasure.

I’d be for playing them a home and home every year

But PROFS was internal to your company. The first "email" I ever sent outside my company was when I went to work for Exxon in 1988, I could still email my friends back in Austin at Continuum because we both had IBM mainframes and IBM had an early email system where you could talk between IBM shops. I don't think we called it email at that time yet.

I have no idea, but we should dock his pay by $50k or so every time he mentions it until he gets the message.
