I guess Vegas hasn't tuned in to many Longhorn games this season...

I think Vegas has finally figured out what Shaka couldn't.....they know tonight is the night we'll nail all those three's.

Vegas favored us to beat Tech. We lost by 6. If we are favored, take Kansas. It is an easy bet.

Shaka Smart is 0-7 against Kansas while at Texas coming into tonight.

KU looks like they are impersonating the Horns early on

Maybe Vegas knew Kansas was not going to show up tonight? Bad start for the Jayhawks.

Roach is hot. He should be the only one to shoot from three right now

KU has played as poorly as i’ve Ever seen a KU team play and Horns just up 3. This team makes more lazy/stupid passes than anyone. For the last 6-7 minutes they have been standing around on offense. Very poorly coached(I know captain obvious and beating a dead horse).

As long as KU continues to play like they are and have the whole game Texas has a good chance to win.

This is the Dylan O I envisioned when I first saw him. The offense through him. I thought he was going to be our version of a point forward -- like Royce White at Iowa St (when he was under control of himself). I remember I was pretty excited about the possibilities. Sadly, I was proven wrong pretty quick

Our offense looks decent when we are hitting 3s

Brutal allowing that easy peasy three on the in-bound pass.

    Texas beats #11 Kansas 73-63

And that's a good example why I am not a Vegas handicapper

    Hey! That's something!

Bilas was talking about how the program needed this win along with the "Parents or the guardians" of these players. Guardians? Interesting comment.

Horns won, but my opinion is that it was more about how poorly KU played which was very poor, and the Horns still tried to give it back to them. KU was so far in a funk they couldn’t take advantage at the end. However, it does follow a pattern with Smart. Beat the dirt burglars, then play two absolutely horrid games, hang on to win against KU, which means a likely blow out at ISU and a loss at home to bailor.

    Texas may have won.
But both the Men's and Women's Basketball Team's.
    Have too many unforced turnover's.
That's what is keeping team's in the game.
We should have beaten Kansas by 20 points.

Good win, but against a KU team that looked pretty weak before coming on late.

I really want this team to figure out a way to get through this year because I think there are some good pieces in place that could make this team really strong in the next two years with incoming classes. This group to me looks like it's missing some things - no go-to post player (on the way apparently), consistent outside shooting (improving), and consistent PG play (Coleman needs a sports psychologist or something because he can be a lot better). I do think that Shaka has been v
victim of a couple of guys who just don't seem to "get" what they need to be doing all the time. Maybe that's on Smart, but sometimes you just have guys that can't get it together between the ears.

Shaka's a smart guy, and he clearly understands the game well. Maybe he's not able to communicate that to the players, or maybe it's the wrong players. Not sure, but I'm willing to see how one more year goes, assuming that this one shows improvement down the stretch.

I've been pretty critical of Osetkowski all season but last night he was a man. His clutch free throws are probably what won the game, along with some great 3 pt shooting by Febres and Ramey.

I can't believe how incredibly unexcited I am about beating Kansas. That game was horrible. I have zero faith Shaka can coach this team to consistently better results next year or the year after. In year 4 this is his team with multiple top 15 talent recruiting classes and we are getting top 150 results. The Kansas team I saw last night is not a top 20 team and their road record this year indicates that.
