Was Kamala an idiot or just ruthlessly immoral? It worked; at least for her it's so far so good.

Harris running on free health care for all.

Interesting. They defend this by saying this will make it so much more affordable for businesses, but tax cuts for businesses only serve to make the Fat Cat Cigar Smoking mostly Republican Rich White Guy business owners even richer.

Dems will use anything and everything against Trump. Republicans will be too chicken **** to use this Casting Couch stuff against her if she is the nominee.

Not unlike what a chicken **** both McCain and Romney were against Obama, but they criticize Trump any chance possible.

Free stuff. I should run for office. I'm a decent public speaker and I can summon up moral outrage and sanctimony at will. Hmmmm... I think I missed my calling.

I lost a bet with my boss years ago about what our company would do when the ACA was passed. My expectation was this: As we self-insure, I figured they'd like to flat-line medical expenses and give us an allowance to purchase insurance on our own. I lost the bet but I still wonder why the large corporations have not done this yet. Maybe they think they'll have a mutiny on their hands but in an amoral capitalistic environment it makes perfect sense to me.

Only because they (the progressives) still believe they can control the party and take it where they want to go. As they start to see more and Dems start to moderate their positions, that will change.

What's really bad about this is the unspoken and ignored issue with the casting couch: it doesn't happen if there aren't at least a few who are OK with it being there and willing to use it. The reason men offer promotions for sex at all is that they believe it will work. Most of them (I am guessing) aren't thinking about it as anything more than an "I help you, you help me" situation, and women like Harris confirm that yes, some women are up for that relationship. The power structure is what allows them to continue asking without fear or reprisal, but the willingness is why it's there to begin with.

Poor Beto. The honeymoon is over. Share the wealth. Benefited from white privilege. Maybe he'd make a good moderate Republican!

I watched The Fountainhead last night. The architectural columnist for the Banner (the paper that attacked the protagonist, Howard Rourke) said, "No man should aspire to a virtue that cannot be shared."

Ayn Rand knew the Left well.

So poor Beto is just exhausted and doesn't have the energy to make a decision on his POTUS run.
    He needs self care.

For the record, Howard Schultz grew up in the projects, was the first of his family to go to college, and turned a tiny coffee shop into a multi-billion dollar company.
How much more should he “work his way up?”

The Democratic Party is such a mess Trump might just sleep through his campaign and win.

Now if someone like Schultz was the D nominee, that would be a tough fight. Running Independent just wouldn't work. Maybe in 2024 if he is willing to see the light on social issues he would make a nice R candidate.

By they way, on some level Schultz may be the greatest thing that happens to our nation. We will all see the absolute disease of the far left wing zealots. We know they are already attacking their once golden-boy Beto for not sharing his campaign funds and for his white privilege. It's sick. They need to be crushed at the polls. Schultz will be a moderate and that is what we need. We need to stop indulging extremism as if it is normal. It is not. They are emotionally impaired to the point of sociopathic behavior. They are unable to cope with reality.

Beto is getting what he deserves. He ran with the cool kids and now they are extracting their pound of flesh.

JF, I think you are missing the point. No one asks billionaires that question because for the most part they have done so.

To answer the question, for most billionaires, the answer is self evident, so no need to ask.

I think sugar-britches is comparing her lack of political experience to that of a billionaire and not so much the self-made man part. I suppose being a bartender with a sassy mouth is the same as making a billion dollars in her mind when it comes to political qualifications.

Eff extremism. Is it wishful thinking that the right will also abandon their extremist side? If not, this will simply bolster the extremists on the left because if Schultz running as an Independent and his campaign results in Trump being elected they'll be validated.

Maybe we should try to define extremism. I don't think wanting to build a wall on our border is extreme. I think open borders, sanctuary cities and tipping off illegal aliens about deportation efforts is extreme. I think Nazi's are extreme. Which elected politician is a Nazi? I think the white privilege campaign is extreme. Elected politicians on the Left are using this as a political tool. I think enabling a doctor to abort a baby in the final month is extreme. I think teaching children about gender identity is extreme. I think teaching the creation as fact in our public schools is extreme. I suppose we could go on and on. The question is this: Who has the real power to push these extreme actions as law upon us all?

Schultz is not really brave enough to stare down this mob, is he?
He is risking the health and well-being of his family if he does this, not to mention most of their wealth is no doubt tied up in SBUX stock -- yikes. He will be facing multiple risks for multiple directions

Moderate Republican? The guy is a typical left wing SJW, white guilt, identity politics pusher. Folks like him belong in the loony tunes Democratic party.

Ha... I was just thinking his attempts to be ultra-Liberal have backfired and he was just playing the game. There is a home for moderates. I'm a Democrat meaning I'm a moderate. I probably was using a bit of hyperbole in my attempt at humor.
