It's there something such as an anti-Hispanic cultural appropriator slur?

Elizabeth Warren used the race status of "American Indian" for her Texas State Bar registration

Seems like lying on a state bar registration would be cause for losing your license or at least some sort of sanction.

Warren's chances are dead. She might as well drop out now and save her backers a lot of money.

But somehow, I don't think that she will. These Dems are nothing if not persistent.

What's silly is how seriously they take this stuff. It's so idiotic.

I think if the last three years has taught any politician anything, it's that people are pretty forgiving of "grab them by the *****" moments. I don't know if Warren overestimates her appeal because she's been in the bubble so long or what, but I would love if she would just go be a loudmouth Senator for a while.

I think most normal people (even many minority voters) would forgive these people. Modern Democratic primary voters aren't like that. They've decided to make intersectionality and identity politics the most important of their core values - enough to make unforgivable any breach even if obviously done in jest and decades ago. It's moronic and insane, but that's where they're going.

She is listed as Inactive in the Texas Bar records, so there isn't much they could do to her...it would be different if she had maintained an active status and the other State(s) had reciprocity agreements that recognized sanctions imposed in Texas.

In the meantime, Fauxcahontas just became even more irrelevant to the political landscape...

Paid ad for Gillibrand, and she's getting ratioed... badly. That can't be a good sign.

I'm really not sure why she's running. It reminds me of Hillary Clinton. The media thinks she's great, but I see very little that would appeal to normal people.

You probably know this, but the American Indian stuff came much later in life than her admission to an Ivy League school, coming from a working class background in Oklahoma. Anyway, her earned academic achievements, along with becoming a US Senator has pretty much made her an obvious worthwhile choice for admission. Similarly, the younger President Bush, proved worthy of Ivy League admission through family connections despite pedestrian previous academic performance. Obviously, Yale and Harvard made a good choice to grant admission to him.

Those are odd measures for success, but if you define success as being elected to Congress or the Presidency, all hail AOC, Nixon and Obama!

I watched part of her speech yesterday where she talked about going to community college since it only cost $50.00 a semester. That was the University of Houston.
She neglected to mention she had a schollie to George Washington U but dropped out after 2 years. Her choice.

I give her this. She knows how to rev up the " Give free stuff to me- Rich people owe us" crowd. Much better than AOC

Yeah, by objective measures I'd rate all three pretty damned successful. The person voted most likely to succeed in my high school class has had comparatively modest life achievements. Now if you consider it a success to have done nothing of which we can be critical... I think my classmate voted most likely to succeed must have eclipsed them, cause I can't even remember who it was.

The three I mentioned were successful at obtaining a political office. Congrats to them. Is the world a better place because of it? I would say no,

Full disclosure - I rarely eat fried chicken, but when I do, I generally use a knife and fork. It's not because I don't know how to eat it with my hands. It's because I hate getting grease on my hands, and I think it looks gross.

I think you have to eat fried or BBQ chicken with your hands at some point in the meal if you want to get every loving bite off the bone.

If I'm eating ribs, that's different. I'll use my hands for that, because I can almost always find a non-greasy part of the bone to handle.
