If the Democrats nominate an open globalist or an environmental crackpot (someone who embraces the GND), Michigan isn't going Dem unless there's major political malpractice by the Trump team. If Uncle Joe is the nominee, then that's another matter. He won't win it slam dunk, but he'll have a good shot.
If Trump wins FL, NC, OH, IA, and MI, it’s over. GA and AZ could be wildcards. By the way, Trump admin is increasing ethanol in fuel, so IA likely a given. Trump only needs to campaign in 4 states.
Deficit spending is facilitated by the low Fed rates and it constitutes a hidden tax effectively. It is also the reason healthcare has become so expensive that the government now claims that it has to fix it. The low rates are the foundation of much of what you mention. That is all I am saying.
Cost impact due to adhering to regulations and legions of administrators are the reason for cost increases, just like college.
Even without that, both would still be expensive because they can be. People charge that they can get away with. If everything is being paid for by third party payers with seemingly unlimited resources (the government and insurance carriers), they will charge a lot.
Something like 70% of what limited growth Obama did see was the healthcare sector. Which, as you say, was govt-manadated and, thus, 'fake growth," not organic. Without Obamacare, he was looking at a recession
mchammer, great statement. We questioned that when Obamacare was enacted - "We complain about high healthcare cost, and adding more government bureaucracy is supposed to help?"
That is not how it works actually. There may be an increase in money spent on healthcare but that itself can cause a recession. The cause of recession is the supply not matching demand. If you force people to buy something they don't really want or need that distorts the demand in the opposite direction. The other way it causes recession is it leaves less money to buy other more valued products.
The USDA data says more than 3.8 million people dropped off food stamps since Trump’s first full month in office https://fns-prod.azureedge.net/sites/default/files/pd/34SNAPmonthly.pdf
Earlier today President Trump hosted the 2018 division-1 FCS National Champions, the North Dakota State Bison, to the White House
It's good. Even better, it likely pissed off liberals who boycott Chick-Fil-A when others are looking.)
Looks like the NoKos may be in for some more food shortages Situations like this always present an interesting dilemma for the US. While we are under no obligation to help them, on the other hand Americans dont like watching other human beings starve to death (even if they are evil commies). But, then again, if we did send them food aid, their Govt and Military would keep it all for themselves.
They're building another one apparently in NYC, I think they're up to about six now, and they all have lines.
The ADP jobs report showed a bit of a slowdown from January, but it's still solid and goods-producing is cranking along. And Jan was revised up 87,000 from 213,000 to 300,000
So basically, fineswine, you have your granny panties in a wad because Republicans have learned to ignore your procedural roadblocks.
