Glad to see the games will all be televised! :yippee:
The Friday games should be exciting. Tech barely held on to beat OU tonight. OSU is perplexing to me. They have a solid starting five and maybe that is the problem, not enough depth. I keep thinking they should be among the league's best with Vivian Gray and Braxtin Miller.

Saturday's rematch with TCU should be another tough game for the Horns. Horns grinded it out tonight. It would be nice to see both Destiny and Danni get hot from BTA. Danni was 1-9 tonight while Destiny was 1-1 but did make 3-4 FTs. It was really nice to see Jada hit some shots. A big plus, her FT shooting recently has been very good.

Texas leaves Thursday for Oklahoma City. :hookem2:

I agree totally! That one they had up before the seedings were final was so difficult to read. Small, no contrast and couldn't enlarge it. Got a headache trying to make it out.

I don't think TCU can count on Danni shooting 11% again....

OK, all you amateur couch potato coaches, here is your chance to suggest strategy changes for the TCU game for Aston and the TCU coach. Kinda strange to be playing a team back to back but I am sure they did it to allow us to coach! We all know Danni wont go 11% again.....or K Ray scores 2 points for the Froggies. You can count on the two big girls for TCU to a focal point. TCU should try to minimize Sutton. Hope Holmes cuts her 7 turnovers in half. It is not so easy to make mid-game changes...…but with 5 days, even my 9 year old granddaughter can come up with some good strategy. In my fair and biased opinion, it will be a very close game and your adjustments will be the key to winning or losing. I am sitting this one coaching opportunity out since my suggestions are usually stupid. Double team the big girls........or play em straight up as last time? Press? Offensive adjustments that I have no clue about? I plan on grading your suggestions AFTER the game to see who gets a pass or who gets a fail. We appear to have a LOT of wonderful coaches on this message board. No excuses. So Coach...….what you got ?

To me it's simple. Get some movement in your offense. When we have good movement we are very hard to guard. When we stand still we are very easy to guard. Plus movement helps create tempo! When we play our tempo we are dangerous.

Humor on this board? I don't believe it! But I sure appreciate it. To win, we must run efficiently and often - cannot depend on our half court game AT ALL. Need to get into secondary break and roll right into offense - for an early post burial or reversal drive or drive and kick. Our offense is completely unreliable so let's not talk about what we must do there - we are not a good half-court offensive team - the more we run, the greater our chances of winning. Two of our bigs need solid games - Joyner needs to be one of these bigs - doesn't matter who else gets in on the action. We don't play zone much but a spot zone throughout the game might actually help neutralize any zone busters. Good to see Sug back - if the open court Sug shows up and has some running buddies, we'll win by at least a dozen. If we try to out-half-court-offense them, long night.

This game scares me. Coach pebley can coach. She will have a new game plan to beat us. Coach Aston must have a counter move. I see coach P locking down on Sug and White and forcing everyone else to score. She'll get Holmes into foul trouble so she'll be a nonfactor. Danni, Destiny and Charlie must show up big for us to win! Charlie this is your coming out party. Dance Charlie! Dance!

Man BH I hope she has a couple of counter moves. I need coach A to come locked and loaded. I hope she's been up since Tuesday planning counter attacks A, B and C. And just for the heck of it D, E, F and G. It's time to DANCE! You must have more than 3 plays to make it to the GRAND BALL!

Exciting first game to kick off the Big 12 tournament. Tech moves on with a 104-84 win over OU. Brittany Brewer (40 pts, 15 rebs, 4 blocks, 4 assists), Sanders (25 pts, 7 rebs) and Carr (16 pts, 7 rebs, 8 assists) led Tech to their first win over OU in the Big 12 tournament.

They did a really good job defending Danni and Destiny.

We can't count on Kianna Ray scoring only 1 point on Saturday like she did against us on Tuesday.

Brewer was a player I really liked during the recruiting process a few season ago. She and Vivian Gray are players I'd love to have on our team.

Coach Pebley said in the post-game that they knew about Sug's tendencies, but still couldn't stop her from doing as she pleased.

Pebley said Sutton “got too comfortable” and that it cost the Frogs.

“She capitalized on it,” Pebley said. “She’s a great pull-up player and we knew that about her. We’ll have to do a better job on her in Oklahoma City.”

For us, we need to get Jordan Moore into foul trouble; we've done that in past games, but not on Tuesday. Our guards need to get the ball to our post players and let them attack Moore early and often; they have no one else in the post as good as Moore.

Also, we have to contain Okonkwo; can't let her get such wide open 3-point shots.

mild upset with 5 seed KSU beating 4 seed WVU 72-59.

KSU should have solidified their NCAA invite while WVU may be left out. Hopefully, Big 12 gets six teams in.

Baylor rolls by Tech, 100-61 and sets up a semifinal with fifth seeded KSU.

10 seed Kansas will take on second seed ISU at 6 PM to set up half of the second semifinal. Horns and TCU meet in the last game of the night. :hookem3:
