Turn game on. 22-16 UT.... 6 mins later. 35-27 tcu. UT hits one 3 pointer and a couple of free throws. Only basket I get to see. Tcu hits 4 3s.... I'm pretty sure I can finally say I seriously dont want to watch this team in the tournament. Not because I think they'll get run off the court(lord knows theyll lose by 2-6 pts to any team they're put up against), it's just the same damn **** every time. Like how is this even possible?!?!

Last home game of the year, and they have to know they win this game they're pretty much into the dance.... and trash. They'll need 2 wins, maybe 3(which won't happen) in big 12 tourney if they drop this one. Smh... it's just so disappointing and painful to watch when you know they're better than this.

Haven't watched much the last few years but this is pathetic. How not making a change is remotely defensable is beyond me. You don't throw good money after bad.

Wow, so I'm at work and pulled up the score with TCU whipping us 56-39 in the second half which made me think of the interview I saw with Shaka this morning. It was the most non-believable commentary about how important this game is and his team is prepared to put the maximum effort into winning this game...blah, blah, blah. I came away thinking "that was odd". He seemed completely on cruise control and a little out of it.

I wonder if CDC has put the writing on the wall and he's now checked out?

I haven't seen a minute of the game but I bet TCU is actually defending the 3 shot a little since we're freaking 3 of 15 so far. But hey, let's stick with that plan because its working so well......keep jacking them up! That's all any team has to do to beat Texas defend the three because there is no other offensive game plan.

Haven’t watched much because what I saw was the same no movement offense. At best two passes and then whoever has the ball dribble drives while everyone stands still but Hayes or whoever is at that position rolls. If the defense can just stay in front of the driving guard and help comes late shaka’s so called offense is done and he has no alternate plan. Now looks like they are just mailing it in and are playing out the string for hopefully a lame duck coach(wishful thinking on my part).

Yep, that's the "offense" I've come to expect. I'll actually be disappointed if this team is rewarded with a tourney bid. After this loss I can't see us winning a conf. tourney game so that leaves us at 16-16 on the year. How on Earth can anyone on the committee think this team deserves even a play-in game?

Anyone else wish Tom Herman was coaching this team instead of Shaka?? Effort level would probably be better lol.

Agreed. And it's not just lately. TCU had nothing to play for today, not even an NIT bid, and still kicked our ***.

Without Barnes players, Smart has a losing conference record. His high water mark is 8-10. No way Smart should come back. The crowd looked horrible, probably only topping the Wetlich year’s attendance. Smart=Strong.

Actually Lunardi had tcu on the first 4 out...even at 6-11 (now 7-11) in conference. Their overall record isnt bad at 19-12. Theyll either get OSU or WVU in the first round so theyre looking at 20 wins. Texas plays either ISU or baylor if OU losses today. If ou wins... texas gets either wvu or osu.

Our worst conference loss(point wise) before the start of this week was 7 pts to conference leading KSU. we end the year with 19 and 13 pt losses. Our 2 worst losses in regard to margin all season. Great way to impress the committee

For some I reason I didn't think think they we're close to that record. Oh well. Doesn't change a thing concerning the disaster that is Smart.

Texas gets Kansas. One and done in the tourney and maybe an NIT bid, which we should not accept.

Come on, guys. This is the same team that needed a single bucket to tie or win with under a minute to play a couple of weeks ago, and managed to get a SHOT CLOCK VIOLATION!

No shot clock violations today has to be recognized as "improvement".

Yeah my mistake, i was thinking of when it was a 12 team league.... brainfart. Well... i guess the good news is we probably only need to beat kansas to somehow still squeak into the dance. Im going with a 17 pt loss. Kansas is pissed they didnt win the regular season title.

TCU was playing for their NCAA tournament life. This was a huge win for them. This, and one win in the B12 tourney and they are a shoe in for the NCAA. They probably played their way in today with this victory.
