We were up 19 now up by 3. Trying too many 3s. Scoreless last 6 mins. Pathetic.

Yeah, I noticed that. Hello CDC!! It cost more to turn on the lights than the gate brought in.

    Time for Shaka’s Swan Song.

I assume it’s Spring Break which explains why there aren’t any students at the game. Apathy is at a high level though.

My son and I went to the game tonight. $14 got us row 6 at mid-court. It was crazy weird tonight. Either way, the Horns are still playing.

Congrats to the Horns on pulling this out. Honestly, I feared the worst--that they'd find a way to lose.
Give them credit, they won on talent alone. I hope the players can win a few, have some fun and even get to NYC to play in the Garden. There are a lot of transplanted Texans there that would like to see them play.

When you jump out to a 19-0 lead and can't maintain that.....ugh! We shot 38 treys. Live by the long ball, die by the long ball. Free throws were deplorable, and got out-rebounded too.

I was listening on my way home from my daughters game and it felt like almost every first shot was a three. This is silly street ball.

I watched, game was microcosm of season, some great play and hot shooting runs followed by butt ugly play and a complete inability to score for long stretches that blew a big lead and made game way too close for comfort. This Texas team had no business winning less than 20 games and by talent should have been around a 5 or 6 seed in the tournament, that they are struggling to win first round NIT game is just sad.

I mean, it wasn't that cold but some homeless could've gotten a break....bring em in, tell them to cheer for Texas!

    This^^^ times ten.

Dylan Osetkowsky was the reason we won.
Best game of the season, by far, for him.

    NIT goal? Really insignificant.

Reach MSG and call it a success bit not the same success as participating and winning a few games in BIG BOY tournament.

Official attend last night was ?????

Why do we pay and guarantee BIG $$ to coaches with minimal experience then extend the contracts. We like digging holes?

How is game impacted last night with Hayes in the game!?

Give 'em free beer too, and the place would've probably been packed. Might smell like the south end of a north bound cow, but it would be a full house.

Exactly, One the Horn's jumped out that far, they should've worked the clock, driven the lane, passed the ball in more to take shots in the paint or just outside, draw fouls. But instead, usually saw one guy under the basket and four outside the 3 point arc.

They played some good ball, too. It wasn't a talent show.
And the bashing continues. Looks like some people are very unhappy about the Horns winning.

I'm not sure anyone actually wants the team to lose, but given the frustration around the team, offense, etc it was just more of the same. They barely beat a team that on talent alone we should have won by 20 points with the outcome never being in question. As it played out we got a big lead and blew it having to hang on for the win through sloppy play. It was a one point game with a minute left. I can't speak for anyone else, but that's my problem....even in a win it felt like a loss.

I woke this morning thinking we had blown another sure win after leading by big margins....is that enough to get frustrated about! I hate bashing but my goodness!!!

I just cannot wait for Shaka to be fired so we can talk endlessly about how he never really got support while at Texas and that's why he couldn't succeed......there'll be no ownership of his lack of success...that he was a good guy.....why are we still talking about him while he's gone? blah blah blah.....

i can't wait until he gets fired and we all criticize Smart for playing a no-star recruit, Dylan Osetkowski, so much. You can't win college games without 4 and 5 stars! :beertoast:

    (FYI this is tongue-in-cheek everyone)

I understand the frustration with getting big leads and watching them disappear.

I just happen to enjoy watching the team win, even when others expect them to lose. Up and down play is what this team is about. It will eventually cost Smart his job (probably next season) if not corrected. Meanwhile, I will enjoy every win they get and shake my head at the ones they let slip through their fingers.
