Under the heading of a win is a win, I will take it but wow did Texas miss a crap ton of opportunities to win without drama there in OT and frankly it was a missed call in regulation that saved them from straight up losing in the first 40. The season goes on with a shot to make it to MSG with one more home win. I feel like Michael Corleone in Godfather part III as a Texas basketball fan who doesnt want to care but every time I think I am out they pull me back in.

At times in the 4Q and OT, it felt like a race to see who could be the first to lose the game

Shaka was probably safe anyway for another year, but he probably just secured it for himself.

Especially when Roach missed 3 of 4 Free Throws in crunch time.
But as was stated in another post, a win is a win and the team managed to bring home the W.

I will say that the sparse crowd also did their part and made a lot of noise, especially considering their small numbers.

It'll be tougher to get up and get out for a midweek game against either CU or Norfolk State. Sunday against Xavier just "sounds" like better basketball. I can't make it so I hope everyone else does.

It's funny how much Xavier reminded me of Texas... not schematically but with different problems keeping them from being a tourney team. If you flipped our frontcourt with theirs, XU might be the worst team in the country and we might be the best. They had inexplicable missed layups like us, too.

Man, glad Texas won. Hate to see this group if the Horns had lost.
One more home game, baby! :hookem3:

There were 3200 in attendance. A small but noisy bunch.

Yeah, don't bash the attendance because the numbers were small but up, and the crowd was very much into the game.

Liked how noisy the crowd was. Thank you for all who went.
In comparison how sad it was to turn on the NCState game and see it packed to the rafters.
Hope this week's game gets better attendance

Is that blasted race going on now? Wife and I would like to come in to see game and stay the night, but hotels are at out of sight levels - or sold out. Crap

Can't beat $14 tickets to get 5th row behind the Longhorn bench! I'm taking advantage of the sparse crowd to get prime seats I wouldn't have a prayer to get otherwise!

Up 44 19 at the half. Who thinks we'll blow the lead in the second half?

I need to extend my recording time, this game could very well go into overtime.

Congrats to the Horns. They were shooting lights out the first half; and got the win fairly easily. They will have a good time in NYC, and get to play in MSG.

Woohoo! Sat 5 rows behind the Longhorn bench! Vocal crowd tonight. Frank Sinatra's New York New York played after the game. Great way to end a rough season. Nice send off for Dylan and Snoop. Hoping we see Jaxson next year.

Ssshhhhhh, don't tell my wife that. She thinks Jaxson is the cutest thing since bunny rabbits. She wants to adopt him. Still holding out hope that he'll return for his sophomore season. But yeah, I know that's a long shot.
