I linked to a 45 minute interview of Abby Johnson about a month ago. I thought at least. She knows what she is talking about because she used to worked for Planned Parenthood.

He looks like a younger guy. His kid is probably still a child. It's really sad. I understand the hassle and cost of having kids. However, to call your kid your biggest regret is really terrible. This isn't Adolf Hitler's dad saying it. This is probably just a regular kid going through the normal things.

I think with that first twee we can all agree Sam McRoberts is a POS and a blight on the state of Texas.

My boys are the best thing ever to come from me. Yeah, they cost mega-$$$, but it's worth it. I can't believe a dad would say that. He's about as Texan as Dan Rather.

Whoa! I can understand there are days when a parent might momentarily "think" that depending on the level of mischief their child gets into, but I can't imagine ever posting that kind of statement.

My wife and I have a "yours, mine and ours" type family. She has an 18 year old son who has now been in the Marine Corps for one year. My son is 26, graduated college a few years ago and is a sports broadcaster on the radio. Then we have a 6 year old daughter who is a lot of fun watching her grow. We love them all and enjoy them every day, well the boys when they are here and our daughter all the time. We feel fortunate to have them in our lives.

Kids can cause you pain. They do often, but there is an enrichment that they bring too that isn't changed by how difficult or easy they are.

And parents who actually try to make their kids better people learn through managing through those difficult times. That's why most parents feel bad about learning how to parent with their first kid and felt better about how they did with the second. The first gives you a totally different perspective and much more preparedness for the second.

881,000 little human beings killed in just the United States in 2017. The Democrats don't care.

Some people say that 200 years from now, people will look back at this period the same way we now look back at slavery -- "What were you thinking?"

In 200 years the world will be so full of neopagans they will think our society was an amatuer at killing for inconvenience.

The world ends in 1-12 years depending on which Democrat you ask. No need to worry about the distant future.

It won't take 200 years. Our grandkids or certainly great grandkids will see the day. The moral case for abortion was always difficult to make, and it's getting harder and harder to make with every advance in prenatal technology.

Furthermore, when the case for abortion is made, it relies on superficial arguments that would never hold up under even somewhat serious scrutiny. It's bumper sticker fodder, yet seemingly intelligent people treat them as authoritative. The reason why is that it's ultimately a cultural and political pissing match. It's about who we like and don't like more than about logic or science. Well, stuff like that tends to fatigue and wear down over time much like the cases for slavery, segregation, etc. That stuff wasn't based on any weaker arguments.

A liberal pro-life argument in Vox that suggests abortion will be unthinkable in 50 years. Link.

Plus population of the working age will be in sharp decline globally (excluding Africa, which is in dispute).

In context, slavery was much easier to defend in the 17th and 18th centuries than abortion is in the 21st century mostly because of how little we knew at the time. It's much easier for the people of that era to plausibly plead ignorance on the nuances of the issue.

The difference between slavery vs abortion is life vs death. Slavery is bad. Death is worse.
