When I see the TCU coaches in their warm-up apparel I can’t help but think about baseball teams and how silly (IMO) their coaches look wearing a full uniform, especially the older and sometimes out of shape coaches . It seems I recall a discussion with a WBB coach years ago about how they decided game attire and the comment was dress was decided by whether the game was daytime (casual - pants, etc.) vs evening (dressier pants or a dress) and weekday vs weekend. Of course everything has gone more casual now so it seems anything goes. I always looked forward to seeing what Coach Tina was wearing at the games.

Jim Littell has done well at OSU. I don't think he's going anywhere any time soon despite a poor season this year.

Braxtin Miller, despite averaging double-digits, struggled throughout the season with low shooting percentage. The focus of the offense is on transfer Vivian Gray, and rightly so.

Averaging 12 points in the ACC is pretty good. Georgia Tech and North Carolina facing some internal issues; their outgoing transfers could get a waiver and be eligible immediately.

With all the transfers, USC is going to have a shallow bench next season. Incoming super recruit, Endyia Rogers, will get plenty of playing time.

What is this transfer epidemic within the sport? Do we simply have more accessible news coverage?

The NCAA transfer portal was recently implemented. Here's a brief explanation of how the portal works.

In 2018, the NCAA instituted a new rule allowing Division I athletes to add their names to a "transfer portal" without permission from the program.

Entering the NCAA transfer portal is a necessary first step for any athlete who wishes to transfer to another institution. Once an athlete decides to transfer and is added to the database, any coach can contact the athlete. The process is now in the hands of athletes–past situations where universities blocked talented players from leaving are no longer permissible. However, schools are now allowed to cancel the scholarships of players at the end of the semester in which they expressed their intent to transfer.

Thanks LutherIsMyDog! I dislike all the transferring, but I like that the schools also have options in the steps listed above.

Is there a place on the NCAA website that shows who has entered the transfer portal? This information may only be available to the member schools? Seems like the information gets disseminated to the interested public awfully quick though.

I am a bit shocked by Herbert Harrigan - she'll be a senior next season rather than a grad transfer so she has to sit a season before playing. She got 21 starts in 33 games and averaged 22.7 minutes/game. I know they have an incredible incoming class but despite the 'lack of consistency' mentioned in the article - she still shot 46.3% from the field (42.3% from 3 on 26 attempts) and 82.1% at the FT line. Her 71 blocked shots are just 14 fewer than Texas had as a team all last season (including non-conference games).

I know they were able to bring Cuevas-Moore back into the fold last offseason after she announced her intent to transfer to WV so maybe Staley can do the same with her (if she wants her).

From the screenshot, it seems to be an online database that probably requires some sort of NCAA login:

I find it just so amazing that she can keep convincing these high ranked recruits to go to SC while previously highly rated recruits leave. I guess she's waiting to hit it lucky with the next Ajia Wilson?

Considering the state of the 2017 class, I don't know if that's a great point for a Longhorn fan to make. :D

    And it just got weirder...

Cooper will be a grad transfer and can play next season.

The Statesman stated in a recent article that Destiny had already "left the team for personal reasons", which I'm assuming could have to do with her Dad's passing. I thought schools allowed students to leave/withdraw for certain family reasons.

Louisville picked up 3 good transfers yesterday, Elizabeth Balogun and Elizabeth Dixon from GaTech, and Kianna Smith from Cal. Balogun was the ACC freshman of the year and Dixon was on the ACC All Freshman Team. Tough break for Nell.

Iowa State picked up a post transfer from Wake Forest who’ll sit the upcoming season.

Looks like that coach will be Dawn Staley. Reported that Herbert Harrigan is pulling her name from the portal.

Hate that she's leaving, as she has lots of potential. Hopefully she'll find a better fit... I'll be rooting for her to succeed.

Below is a list of all available transfers currently available in the transfer portal. This list is prepared by Raoul who seems to know about all Signings or transfers even before they happen. Note: last updated April 17, 2019
