Do our politicians not understand the gravity of our situation. We are all going to die in 4,319 Days, 0 hours, 49 minutes, 20 seconds according to the expert AOC. We must approve the New Green Deal. The Government will save us if we give them all our money so they can fix the climate.

So AOC said she pity’s the people that are mocking her about climate change. She said because of video and cyber technology that our grand kids will one day see the non believers of climate change. Wait....... didn’t she say we will all be dead in 12 years. So why does it matter?

Count down to our destruction. Our days of life count down. 4,310 Days, 01 hours, 4 min, 18 sec.

Transitioning to 100% renewables will lead to many deaths in the Northern portion of the US. They won't be able to heat their homes without traditional fuel sources.

I don't know about that. The Northern Libs are blowing enough hot air to keep the temperature relatively moderate in winter months. Plus, Biden spreads a great deal of his body heat around, and the heat from the Media's pants burning should supplant any other energy needs.

Our earth has survived 4.5 billion years, yet AOC, Beto, Kamala, Warren, and others predict we have 12 years left unless we vote Democrat. :yikes::smokin::rolleyes1::lmao:

There have been some nutty protests in England over the last couple of weeks. It's a whacked version of the the US student protests demanding something like the Green New Death.

They call themselves Extinction Rebellion. They literally think they are protesting for the existence of humanity. Everybody got to believe something I guess. In this case Neo-pagan apocalyptic cult.

Are they really *******, or have they simply been brainwashed? If I actually thought the world was about to come to an end, I might freak out too. The problem is that large numbers of people are being preached to that we're on the verge of death, and they're panicking. They might be *******, but maybe we should stop drilling alarmism into them.

The bottom line is that these 12-year existence activists are taken far too seriously. Too many media figures and politicians listen to them, when they should be taken about as seriously as the Hale Bopp comet people.

And it's outrageous that a high schooler had such blatantly political ******** drilled into him at taxpayer expense. Your teacher should be horsewhipped.

My perspective is that this kind of thing should be expected from government provided schools.

More and more I see public schools are propaganda arms of the state and federal government.

When government pays for schools, it gets the type of education it pays for.

Exactly. And if the Green New Deal ever becomes real, the government will subsidize electrical power for the few who can still afford to use it.

So if you tell people the world is coming to an end and claim to have "settled science" behind your claim, some of those people (at least the stupid ones who don't think to be skeptical) become depressed and even suicidal. Link Of course, as the article concedes, the science doesn't back up the conclusions of these mentally weak dolts, but if you pump BS into people enough times, eventually they believe it.

The delusion is pretty evident in the highlighted quote. "It's super painful to be a human being right now at this point in history."

How friggin' self-centered and ignorant of history does someone have to be to believe this? How about living in a time when, if you needed surgery, you were given some lettuce and told to bite on a stick instead of being anesthetized? I think that was a more painful time. How about living before antibiotics or vaccines when a contagious disease could just wipe out millions of people in a few years and there was nothing anybody could do about it? Sounds pretty painful.

And we don't have to go that far back. I'll bet it was pretty painful to be a Polish Jew in the early '40s. I'll bet being an Ethiopian in the 1980s was no picnic either.

I know urban hipsters have it pretty bad. I'm not here to crap on their struggle. It's real and painful. Their iPhone screens get cracked; their avocado toast gets soggy; they see opinions on Twitter that they disagree with; and sometimes they can't get Kombucha when they need it. Having to deal with all that AND having to worry about climate change has to be pretty rough. But I think past generations and oppressed peoples of the past would probably reluctantly trade places with them.

Not familiar with the galactic cosmic ray theory. The authors of this paper argue that current models are inadequate because they do not properly account for the changes in low cloud cover. They argue that after accounting for low cloud cover changes, the increase in CO2 has a much lower influence on observed temperature increases. Furthermore, since the majority of the CO2 emissions come from the ocean, the man-made contribution to global warming is negligible.

Here is a direct link to their paper: https://arxiv.org/pdf/1907.00165.pdf

Sorry if you missed the connection. Cosmic rays seed cloud cover. Thus, more cosmic rays means more cloud cover. Cosmic rays are affected by the sun’s corona. Stronger sun means less cosmic rays hitting the earth and less cloud cover.

Thanks for that. They did not mention the theory in the paper. In any case, they made interesting points. I'm sure the Climate change folks will give it due consideration.
