Currently 2nd in the nation in FG% at 73.7% but is only averaging 10.6 ppg. Am I correct in thinking he only takes 6 or 7 shots a game and he is the best shooter we have? I believe it's time for Shaka to change the game plan to feed him the ball more. Jaxson is also #12 in blocks at 2.6 bpg.
It's difficult to get him the ball where he needs it. He doesn't have the strength to body up with more than a smallish defender. He's like a slower, shorter, Jarrett Allen. When he has a clearing and doesn't need to rely on physicality, he's nails. I think Smart would rather he stay at his current pace and put on some muscle to help us, rather than have him completely shut down and get ready for the NBA Draft (**cough**MylesTurner**cough**).
Not exactly sure this means anything at all considering it translates to .500 play. I'll take zero first rounders if I could trade for 25+ wins a year.
Sooner or later those guys will figure out they're probably going in the lottery with any team. If we can't win, eventually they'll just start going somewhere else, not that it matters. Like I said, I'd rather have 25 wins a year instead of an annual lottery pick. Having a coach who could achieve both would be a bonus and probably get us back to the final 4
