AOC certainly is adept at attention whoring, isn't she? She flew to the Texas Border to visit the "concentration camps" and, as you might expect, stired up the toilet bowl. Among other things she claimed; women had to drink out of toilets, agents took her phone and threatened her, etc. etc. And of course, the MSM ate it all up without bothering to check the facts.

Somebody has to tell them that she's wrong. What she says gets a ton of attention all over the media. What some pastor says will get virtually none.
AOC is not dumb. She is ignorant. But I think she is impressive. She has taken over the Democrat party in her freshman year. Tell me one other legislator that has done that.
The U.S. had to be in a polarized environment that is almost tantamount to civil war for this to happen. The young revolutionaries of he Democratic Party have no respect for the old guard like Pelosi and Schumer. They want radical change. They want a new leader to take them to into an entirely new social and political order. AOC is not bothered by the truth or the facts. She doesn't know or care about American history. Like most young Democrats, she's ashamed of her country. She'd make a perfect socialist dictator in any Third World country, which is just what the young Turks of the American Left seem to want.
I thought about mentioning a German analogy, but didn't want to cause Godwin's Law to be invoked. I also thought using a Russian 1917 analogy, but restrained myself. Hopefully, the main stream American public will come to their senses before anything even close to those two situations occurs.

The fighting between Pelosi and AOC reminds me a bit of the Watergate Babies - the Democrats who got elected in 1974 in the wake of Watergate. It was a group of very outspoken hardcore liberals who were determined to weaken the power of Southern conservative Democrats and to generally be troublemakers. If you look at the congressional delegations from the South basically from Reconstruction until the late-1970s, turnover was rare. Southerners frequently would elect a young guy to Congress and send him back for the next 30 - 40 years. Since committees were organized along the seniority system, those members would score big committee chairmanships and hold them for a long time and use that power to shutdown the agenda of liberal members. (For example, from 1941 - 1993, only 4 guys chaired the House Appropriations Committee. Three of them were Southern Democrats.) The Watergate Babies teamed up with Northern liberals and basically busted that system up. The big difference I see is that the Watergate Babies had about 40+ members. AOC's group of circus clowns has only 4 or 5 members in it. That shouldn't be enough to make a difference, but they have the media and intersectionality hyping them up.
Yeah, and that is how we got Waxman and other loonies in charge when Obama got elected. I guess the joke is on them: we have 8 years of Trump.
Well, it got rid of a major reason why southerners voted Democratic, which led to a political realignment and helped cost Democrats control of Congress in the 1990s.
^The Southern Democrats didn't move away from the party - the party moved away from them. The Party moved so far left of center that the Southern Democrats found that the GOP was more closely aligned to their policies and philosophy.
This is true. However, the seniority system delayed the realignment in Congress. Prior to 1994, many Southerners would vote for Reagan but then split the ticket and back a Democrat for Congress. A significant reason for that is that some of those Democrats held serious power. For example Jamie Whitten (D-MS) got reelected for 52 years (until 1994) from a very conservative area, even though he was basically a moderate Democrat. The reason - he was a big shot on Appropriations and chaired it for several years. He was removed by more liberal Democrats after the 1992 election, retired because of his removal, and his district has been solidly Republican ever since.
