Epstein Case

I haven't commented on this much, and frankly it's because I haven't seen much worth commenting on. Is Epstein a rotten guy who belongs in the slammer? Yes. However, I'm not seeing much of a case against Clinton or Trump. They knew Epstein and traveled with him. That might look bad, but rich and powerful people hang out and travel together everyday. Plenty of other people traveled with him too. It's not evidence of pedophilia. To even create suspicion, we'd need something tying them to a specific underaged girl. I don't see anything like that.

Is Acosta right to step down? Yes. He ran a cowardly, half-assed prosecution like many prosecutors do when they're likely to be up against someone who isn't broke-*** poor and can afford a serious defense. As trial attorneys go, they are the biggest ******* in the business. Having said that, I do also have to question where the local DA was on this. He was the most logical person to go after Epstein.

I read speculation that the sheriff went to fbi when the local DA of Palm Beach sat on it due to dem politics (Palm Beach is a big dem area and Epstein was a big dem donor).

Some of the Epstein stories are too lurid to be likely true, but then again that weird sex cult in NY was mostly true (and the originator found guilty in court).

I think most of the stories about Epstein are true. It's the tying of those stories to Trump and Clinton that I don't buy - at least not until I see some evidence.

What is it about you good people that you are unable to disagree with someone without throwing in personal insults? Whenever I see that, I know Ive won the argument. Because it means you have nothing else.

It’s a sad day when people on both sides can’t just agree that this guy needs to be in jail forever and also hope neither the current president or past president had any involvement in his crimes.

But while I gave seen pilot loig evudence of Clinton being on his plane 27 times and that pic of Bill with hat teen at a Epstein party i have not seen evidence of Trump being with him much. All I have seen us that Trump threw him out of Mir a lago.

Washington Post has a petty good article detailing the Epstein's previous trial. Acosta sounds weak, interested primarily in getting back to D.C. per the article. The case was one where power and money buy justice, although one FBI agent did say than none of the dozens of victims were eager to pursue charges. Of course, Epstein reportedly had people either bribing or threatening victims and co-conspirators.

One has to wonder whether the local DA was an even greater coward. Epstein had an allstar defense team of 8 that included Alan Dershowitz.

I never called you a traitor, a dumbass, or that your momma dropped you on your head.

Here I have the facts that once again, you were caught posting fake news. A smart move would be to stop doing it, but you do you, TraderJoe.

You did. But worse than that, given that everyone knows or should know by now I am part Native American, you effectively called me a "Lazy Indian." Which is incredibly racist. Textbook, black letter racism. AOC is probably offended by your comment. I am shocked you are still allowed to post here. And anyone who "likes" your posts is a racist by association. You should probably delete your account.

He's been doing it for years. When I showed that he practiced in spreading falsehoods he questioned my intelligence, manhood and labeled me with other derogatory terms, exactky what he's accusing you of. I'll take solace in the fact that in a way he just admitted that he lost all those arguments over the validity of his propaganda. Thank you JoeFan! One day naybe I'll even get an apology.

Of course, he then claimed to he a victim when other pointed out his violations of the posting guidelines and he was reprimanded. What were you saying about "snowflakes"?

I think I see what you mean my young racist friend. Here is my theory. You self-identify with the likes of the Clintons and/or AOC. And so when I make fun of AOC for her inconsistencies, contradictions and general inexperience in life, you take it personally. When I post a meme poking fun at her, or the Clintons, or Pelosi, or Kim Jong-un or whoever it is you are identifying with that week, you take it as if I directly said something about you, even though those memes have absolutely nothing to do with you. Because you think it all really is about you. And this, to you at least, justifies your spew of invective and thinly disguised racism.

But, fear not. If there is one certainty in the modern human experience more certain than death or taxes, it is that lefties are not called to account for their missteps on social media. That is a one way street only. And, thus, you are free to continue to throw out your racially offensive posts with impunity. It's a a get out of jail free card for life, just so long as you virtue signal in the correct direction and with the proper conviction. And while you have my pity for your aforementioned vicarious living, I admit to being a little jealous of the latter. But such is life in America.

It's a little like talking to children, isnt it?

"No honey, I am pretty certain the AOC meme is not about you."
On my word as a Lazy Indian, I am not thinking of or attempting to personally insult any specific poster here when I post AOC memes. Usually, I just think they're funny and want to share the laugh. That's about it.

President Donald Trump has lost more of his Cabinet secretaries to corruption and other ethics concerns in his first term than any other president in U.S. history.

    The best people.

Trump’s strength is firing people, not hiring people. Hiring is always a crapshoot anyway.

That does not dispute what I said: hiring is a crapshoot, so firing is more important if you want the best people (eventually).

I’m still not clear on your point. Hiring is a crapshoot, so being good at recognizing the bad hire and firing that person is one of Trump’s strengths? If you want the best people, you need to be able to recognize that, and fire them, if you want the best people?

And there is evidence of what you are saying in his organizations over the years. Like the TV show, for example. Where he says “you’re fired”.

Getting rid of employees who are bad fits for the job is more important than hiring the right people for the job from the get-go. Many folks have seen impressive folks get hired for a particular job, but seen them fail at it. Better to cut bait quickly and replace that person.

It's spin. Yes, getting rid of bad employees is important but that doesn't mean hiring good employees is impossible, especially with the vetting apparatus available to a POTUS should they use it.

This debate strategy is similar to the revenue vs spend debate. Spin it that only one side matters in the moment to win an argument.

Most people are reluctant to fire people. That is 80% of the problem. Trump removes people when they are not performing or the job description has changed.
