These kids look at the depth chart, and want to play right out of the box or very early.

But Coach Sumlin promised I was better than any of them and would start day 1. :deadhorse:

This training field is a mile from my house. It's the last lot on a dead end about 5 miles south of Tomball just east of Hwy 249. Was over there about two years ago talking to a former college player and now training coach to high school kids but can't remember his name. Damn you vodka!

247 thinks the Alabama buzz around S Xavion Alford (Pearland) may be starting to fade

That's some very impressive footwork for a guy his size
It's not often guys live up to their twitter name, but this guy seems to do just that
I sometimes see guys working with trainers on the walls of the bayou downtown, along Allen Parkway. But they been running those hills for a long time. I think what FWK does is a step up

I believe Tom Williams and his famous hill in Southwest Houston were the first inclines in this swamp.

Footwork is so important. My grandson started working with a footwork trainer when he was 9. He plays QB, RB, OG, LB, & DL full contact. His training makes a big difference in his performance.

Yep, footwork and coordination is my advise.

I started my son on footwork and jump rope at 4 1/2 yrs. Dude had 30 TDs last season, including an MVP award and 4th Super Bowl.

Sadly, he suffered a spiral tibia fracture last night at practice. Devastated.

Anyone know why 247 hasn't changed Bijan's status on the player rankings does NOT show him committed?

This should be enough to move ahead of the team to the North that does suck.

    Ethan Pouncey says Hook 'Em!

Four-star cornerback Ethan Pouncey commits to Texas

Seems to fill a need better than CTJ and seems more productive also.

"Pouncey proved himself to be an extremely productive cornerback in his junior season at Winter Park. Pouncey recorded 43 tackles, 21 pass breakups and 8 interceptions, 3 of which he returned for touchdowns."

Nice numbers for any league of peer competition.

A commitment kind of out of nowhere, especially since he is due to OV next month (although he did UOV in early July). He is the real deal -- a true CB. He has the hips, the speed, the ability and the size to be an actual lock down CB. So this is very good news.

Rankings-wise, he is the #10 CB nationally in the 247Comp. 247 has him as the #7 CB and just inside their top 100, while ESPN has him just outside their top 100 (#103 overall). But Rivals has him lower which is what pulls the overall 247Comp down a little.
