You are moving the goalposts. You first said over the past 10-15 years, now you are saying only right this very minute.

No; aggy beat LSU last season so no reason to move the goalposts.

Well, I don't watch Gameday anymore and haven't for a few years, really, but that pic also has Fowler. He hasn't been on Gameday for a couple years or so now, right?

I think it's cool they used a pic from Fort Worth, my hometown, but it doesn't surprise me that they wouldn't find a pic talking about Austin from, you know, Austin.

Well go ahead and include some Texas DBs from the last 10-15 years. I can’t think of any good ones off the top of my head. Earl Thomas is the main guy that comes to mind.

You mean like Quintin Jammer, Aaron Ross (Thorpe Award winner), Mike Griffin, Michael Huff (Thorpe Award Winner), Earl Thomas, Kenny Vacarro, Nathan Vasher, Rod Babers, Cedric Griffin, and Quadre Diggs. We have a lot more. I haven't even touched the 90's where we have guys like Bryant Westbrook.

I already named a few of those guys. Even with Jammer, Huff and Vasher added to the list of people that were actually good in the NFL y’all still don’t cut it in my opinion.

No way, we have Michael Griffin, Deshon Elliott, Mossy Cade, Jerry Grey, Bryant Westbrook, Chris Carter, Stanley Richard, Vance Bedford. If you google DBU it is between Alabama, Texas, and LSU. All three could make the claim. Since our recruiting and on field play has only been "back" for one season. We may be third right now. But with the young players we have in the locker room Texas could easily take back the top spot in the next season.

The problem with Alabama and LSU is they do not play in a conference (plus the vast majority of non-conference foes) that in any shape or form can be called a prolific passing conference like the Big XII. Texas DB's face 4 to 5 receivers plus the best group QB's in the country on every play.

Well that's like, your opinion, man. ;)
Actually your dumb is hanging out.
If you cant give credit to the DBs he just rattled off then you're just playing stupid.
    I guess I hope you're playing, anyway.

The NFL must disagree with you, see my post of NFL draft picks since 2008, or can I put it back for you....basically for every 2 Tigers drafted, 1 Longhorn, for every 3 LSU 1st round picks, 1 for Texas. 2 LSU DB’s are forecast in the 1st round this year, but whatever.

BaseballGawd, we may be behind at the moment but we do have great DB history here....last few years of Mack and all of Charlie Strong left a hill to climb, but we're going up not down...

It is a beautiful day outside so put down the tiger/$EC kool-aide and enjoy the day. We are not discussing the NFL, but if we were I would say hold on, the NFL is changing to wide-open offenses which will only further expose DB's. If they haven't faced it in college, they are going to be way behind.

This thread is getting sidetracked. Let’s change gears. I see Texas has a couple starters with injuries from their scrimmage. There’s been a lot of rumblings by LSU fans on all the starters who haven’t been practicing due to nicks and bruises so injuries don’t linger. What many don’t realize is the players now days have been training all summer so once fall practices kicked off they at least pass their conditioning tests. Wasn’t like that 10-20 years ago. I don’t take any stock in players missing fall practices as long as they are able to participate in practice for game week when the coaches install the plays for a particular game. Hoping both teams stay injury free going into game 2.

Yea well in the last 10-15 years, LSU DBs have had better success in the NFL, so it doesn’t look like if has been a problem facing ‘less prolific offenses’ in college.

I never said I didn’t give them credit. Most of them I do. I’m just saying that in the NFL LSU DBs have had more success recently. I’m sorry you can’t read at a third grade level. It’s pretty rich that you’re trying to insult someone else’s intelligence.

I don’t make the groceries. I just buy them. If I could make all of my own groceries then I wouldn't have to go to the store.

We need to play LSU often. It could be quite a good rivalry. I know this one guy in Baton Rouge, that has a jacket made of real tiger fur that he wears to all the games. He is a big time doner and that jacket cost him big money. Looks like hell though. Those guys are homers like Alabama fans. But they do have a great game day atmosphere and tailgating, the last 12 years they have played some very good football, especially defense. I'll see you guys on the 7th. But were still gonna win. I believe you all will be surprised or sha-grinned at how fast and aggressive our DB's are. BJ Foster is going to tattoo somebody!

Out of all the SEC teams out there. LSU is the only team I would invite to join the Big 12 conference. I know you guys have no desire to leave the SEC but I can guarantee that if you did; the big 12 would be pound for pound right with the SEC. Plus you get the added bonus of never having to play the morons from Collieville ever again. Only problem with joining the Big 12 is you would still only be the 2nd or 3rd best team in the conference.

LSU has fond memories of playing A&M. In fact, LSU scheduled A&M in Baton Rouge TEN YEARS IN A ROW, and unless I'm mistaken, beat A&M all ten years.
