I don't know if this is coordinated or something that has just happened organically as a result of Trump. But the Democrats have missed a great opportunity to step into the "adult" role. Instead, if coordinated then the Left appears to be trying to out-Trump, Trump with their extremism (analogous to his big mouth and propensity to insult people). Maybe they hope they will galvanize the anger on their side.

If so, then I feel it is a mistake but at the same time, I have this feeling that Beto is a real threat to become a US Senator. All the way from the El Paso City Council. Maybe its just because I live in Austin and see all the Beto signs. It will be a VERY interesting election cycle coming up. I feel it will definitely be a referendum on Trump.

If I were Trump (or in charge of the RNC) I'd make sure someone was splashing this ANTIFA stuff in front of the American people along with the comments and struggle to articulate herself being made by our cute new socialist.

Never let the leftists in Austin fool you about how the majority of the State will vote.

I'm a proud American from a family who, when asked, volunteered to kill Nazi fucks until their were no more to kill.

f**k Nazis, old and new. Happy Labor Movement Day.

f**k all socialists - national (Nazis) and international (Communists). They're both rotten and big killers of the innocent.

    Yep, "Democratic" Socialists too.

If taken to its logical end, there almost is no such thing, at least not in practice. Most places we call "democratic socialist" are actually social democracies.

I hear you. I supposed some folks thought Wendy Davis was a threat to become governor. Now it's total oblivion for her. A filibuster does not a great leader make.

Modern US Antifa behavior is similar to that of the fascists in 1920s Italy and brownshirts of early-1930s Germany. It's thuggery. And they are using many of the same justifications today that they used back then.

And all the SJWs on Twitter are insulting and making fun of Andy Ngo.

Can you image an gay Asian being beat up by a mob of Republicans? What would Twitter and New York Times say?

We don't really have to imagine it. Just look at what they said about Jussie Smollett before his hoax was exposed. They framed it as part of a broader issue that they could link to Republicans.

I wish the giant guy with the ginger beard had taken up the maroon shirt twerp's request to fight. "Come on! Come on!" (rips off $200 shades to show he's really, really serious)
Giant beard man showed mighty restraint. It would have been lights out for twerp with one might blow.

I will just say this again. The State of Oregon approves of Antifa's violence and goes out of their way to protect them from legal consequences. They will arrest people trying to protect themselves from Antifa before they will arrest the black clad thugs.

But apparently the worst thing happening in Oregon is that Republican State Senators go to Utah to avoid voting on a carbon tax bill that will further harm the people of their State. You have to fight it someway. If not, it will come to your State next.

Should antifa be designated a domestic terrorist organization?

    They --
-- Dress in black to conceal their identity
-- Commit act ofs political violence
    -- Use chemical weapons
    -- Assaults journalists
-- Seek to overthrow the government
    -- Firebomb government facilities

The Antifa proponents' cry is always something like "You are supporting NAZIS if you oppose what we're doing". It just hit me - replace "Nazis" with "Communists" and you have the exact same logic that proponents of McCarthyism used.

The issue is that Communists think anyone to their right politically is either a Fascist or Nazi. What they mean is "not Bolshevik". So a liberal is a fascist. A conservative is a fascist. A monarchist is a fascist. An anarchist is a fascist. Anyone not wearing the black mask of Antifa is a fascist.

It appears that our Govt has finally determined to call their acts of terrorism ... acts of terrorism. Go figure

    From Politico -
Federal authorities have been warning state and local officials since early 2016 that leftist extremists known as “antifa” had become increasingly confrontational and dangerous, so much so that the Department of Homeland Security formally classified their activities as “domestic terrorist violence,” according to interviews and confidential law enforcement documents obtained by POLITICO....

How could Antifa not be named as a terror organization? That is the whole point of their group, to cause fear in those who differ with them politically.

Because there are two sets of rules. One set of rules for people who support Democrats and another set of rules for the rest of us. Just look at how long the #metoo creeps were allowed to prey on women (and teenage boys). They were over 90% Dems, not just Dem voters but connected Dems.

There's a clip going around the internet of most of the Democratic Presidential candidates being asked at the Iowa State Fair if they'd condemn the Antifa movement. Only Gabbard and Yang definitely said yes. The others either refused to answer (Sanders/Castro) or made general, meaningless statements like; "I condemn all violence". One, I think it was Gillibrand, claimed not to know what the Antifa was!!

Clean, I think it is okay to answer that they are against all violence.

The problem is the interviewer stops there. The next question should be, "how would you propose that we stop Antifa's violence? Police action? Proud boys? Concealed weapons? How do you propose that we protect free speech in this country?"
