Ruth Bader Ginsburg treated for pancreatic cancer - CNNPolitics " Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has been treated for pancreatic cancer in New York City, the Supreme Court announced Friday. "The tumor was treated definitively and there is no evidence of disease elsewhere in the body," the court said. This is the 86-year-old liberal icon's fourth bout with cancer. In 1999, she successfully underwent surgery to treat colon cancer. She was treated for early stages of pancreatic cancer in 2009. Last December, Ginsburg underwent surgery to remove two cancerous nodules from her left lung. I do not agree with her on anything but I hope she is not in pain .
She has beaten cancer so many times that it’s hard to say what will happen. However, for any other person, she would be likely dead by next summer - just in time for the election season.
She's a tough old bird. I hope she overcomes this issue, and I mean that sincerely. I do believe the Libs are correct in their thinking that a new Justice should get an up/down vote in an election year, however.
I would agree but the Dems are so hateful and there is nothing to suggest they would be anymore civil now.
Trump replacing RBG will make the Kavanaugh confirmation look like a bunch of hippies singing kumbaya.
I hope she is okay and has a good prognosis. However, being a West Mall thread, who on here believes if a conservative Justice were experiencing the same cancer, the left would not outwardly be hoping for his or her demise for the "greater good"? I would not hope for anyone to be dealing with cancer for any reason. I hope she is not in pain.
Of course there are leftist freaks who would wish for a conservative SCOTUS to die for the "greater good". To be fair, I am sure there are some right wing troglodytes who are wishing for RBG's demise as well. Fortunately, none of them populate this forum.
Yes, and not to delve too far this way, but I think the zealots on the left would be more plentiful and loud. Why? The media would allow it to happen unchallenged.
HiC You have to look no further than the left's reaction to David Koch's passing. The vile hatred from prominent Dems is astounding. I wonder if Longest or Husker need to see Bill Maher's reaction?
Wow. I googled that, and Maher was pretty harsh. I've seen media outlets cover Maher's comments. I haven't seen anyone condemn them.
I don't wish for her demise, but she's 86 years old and has fallen asleep in public and has failed to meet the demands of her job. At SOME POINT, cancer or not, it's time to hang it up. Life appointment shouldn't mean die in the seat. Have more self-respect and faith there is another equally qualified to do your job. It's past time for Ginsberg to retire.
@horninchicago Sorry ... IDK why. Just took a little breather. But hey, the season is about to start.
Is this some sort of karma? RBG was treated in the Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, the center David Koch gave 150 million which was a record donation.
Can the moderator fix the title of this thread? It should be RBG, not RGB. RGB makes me think of Robert Griffin III for some reason.
So much hate here. Really a shame everyone blaming everybody else except themselves. Not the America in which I grew, thankfully.
No, that was just idoit @Horn6721 who did that lol. There are plenty of other things we do to deserve those monikers.
HiC Bubbelah Before you kvetsh on something, a maven you aren't I may have swtiched up Ginsburg's initials like a shlemiel But since Bader and Ginsburg are both good Jewish names and both Ruth's names only a meshugener would call me anti Semitic .
