Philadelphia Wellness Check Results in Hysteria, Anti-gun owner Propaganda

On 28 August, 2019, relatives of a former gun dealer called the police because they said, they were concerned the 72-Year-old man might be depressed and/or suicidal. I do not know if the man was suicidal or not, but old white men commit the largest percentages of suicides. They tend to use guns to do the deed. The police raided the house, on the authorization of the relatives. It appears to be a nice home in a nice neighborhood. Bustleton is home to many of Philadelphia's police officers and firefighters.

The wellness check turned into a full-blown media circus. Swat was called “to assist in clearing weapons.” The bomb squad was called. Hazmat was called. Why? Because the man involved, who had been a gun dealer, according to relatives, had a modest gun collection, some inert grenade bodies (easily and legally purchased), a smoke grenade (totally legal), some mercury (totally legal), and about a thousand rounds of ammunition. From abc.com:

According to investigators, officers encountered a 72-year-old man whom relatives expressed concern that he may be depressed or suicidal. The man was taken to the hospital for evaluation. Relatives said the man used to be a gun dealer."

And this was not from any red flag law. Swat, Bomb squad and Hazmat to a wellness check? They sent the man to a hospital while they raided his house.

Separate and confiscate...makes it easier for them to take things. What country has this become when the government officials can just take Americans legally owned items because they think it might be dangerous.

Now I am against red flag laws. Sounds like a tool to take guns away from who ever the government doesn't agree with. A guy commits no crime, but it put in a mental hospital for 20 days. Oregon sounds like the USSR. I'm sure it is a pleasant place though.

If the red flag laws can be written so a disgruntled relative or employer can't use the law I would be for a good red flag law
In the case of the Oregon Marine this is what he wrote

“If Antifa gets to the point where they start killing us, I’m going to kill them next,” Kohfield told a gathered crowd, according to the Oregonian. “I’d slaughter them, and I have a detailed plan on how I would wipe out Antifa.”

Was it stupid? yes but was it a direct threat? NO

    "If" is the operative word.

IF Antifa started killing people near me I'd be looking to kill them too, rather than waiting to become their next victim.

Sangre, I am with you and so are most people not affiliated with Antifa, IF they are attacking people you know. The fact that Oregon used a red flag law to put a person in the hospital for saying he would defend himself against Communists, is enough for me to say eeeeef yoo to red flag laws. All it takes is a small majority in the Texas Congress to do the same thing.

And Beta lied about there not being enough ambulances in Odessa which did not set well with the city of Odessa. They issued a statement that all of their ambulances, 30, were at scene in minutes as were ambulances from Midland .

FYI. Odessa people don't respect El Paso. This is like a Texas A&M fan believing that Texas turned off the A/C on LSU.
