    According to ESPN

Cool to see 2005 Texas at #6, but even I'd put 2001 Miami ahead.

How could this list be right if the much proclaimed “Greatest college football team of all time”—2005 USC—isn’t #1?

Nebraska has certainly fallen off the map. We’re a big reason for that.

List is bogus ask any aggy and they will tell you that '39 team is top 5 and really no question should be number 1. ESPN bias not listing it in top 80.

I understand these are click bait rankings. All of them are great teams. But I would put money on the 2005 Horns against any of them.

1995 Nebraska should really be #1.

I still have the 1963 Dallas Morning News article that my brother saved talking about how all the Eastern media and polls gave Texas no chance against the great Roger Staubach and Navy in the Cotton bowl.

EVERYONE of them after the game were quoted saying the '63 Texas team was the best and most dominant football team in the history of the NCAA. That says a lot for that section of the country to have said that considering how they looked down on football teams in the South and Southwest at that time.

Of course, dipshiit ESPN (who's opinion doesn't mean squat) weren't even in existence for another 16 or so years then.

I would still say the all time best teams were '05, '69 ,'63 and '07 Texas teams; then juggle the rest and put them wherever.:hookem::smokin:

You said '07 Texas but I think you meant '08 Horns team that lost to Tech last second and went to Fiesta Bowl to beat tOSU 24-21... and '09 was not shabby!

The 2004 Texas team would have beaten the 2004 USC team.
