Yes, but his expressions and dismissals of Bohls's questions are worth the price of admission.

I hear ya, but "reporters" ask such dumb questions, I give TH a pass on the "uhms".

Any time one of Tom's press conferences becomes just a little too much for you to take, I challenge you to go back and watch one or two of Charlie's. I promise it will instantly reset your tolerance for Herman's mild speech quirks.

Sangre, Amen! He had / has to be one of the worst communicators I have ever heard. Really hard to comprehend what he was trying to say. Wonder if the players felt the same?

With the media being as it is today he wants to make sure he doesn't say anything that can be twisted, so he "uhms" a lot. He also wants to be sure not to throw people under the bus with his answers.

Or you can listen to a Coach O press conference and try and figure out what the hell he is talking about.

They felt the same. I remember 32 saying his second year here the guys were just looking at each other wondering what they were supposed to be doing. Definitive instruction was lacking.

They should do one of those bad lip reading videos with coach O.

Hell, the Bad Lip Reading would make more sense.

The funniest one of those I ever saw was Rick Perry. “Save a pretzel for the gas jets.”

    This!

For instance in the last press conference, I’m yelling at the screen “for god sake’s Tom don’t bite”, reporters have an agenda and just like the coach O locker room statement it’s easy to take things out of context and use it as a tagline.
I truly think that a reporter already has a story written and then fish for a phrase to support their statement. For instance, regarding the obvious LSU defense of line flopping, a reporter might feel that a great story would be to write how LSU was flopping.... and after asking Tom a leading question and he gives a solid answer of ‘yes I did notice that they were having issues towards the end of the game’...

At the Monday presser, Bohls asked about injuries slowing the momentum and that TH stated Saturday it was a concern. TH seemed to get pissed and asked when did I say that? I didn't say that. He then either misunderstood Bohls referring to LSU's cramp issues and said Texas players were in good shape etc. Bohls then asked if a team was deliberately faking injuries would it be unethical. TH gave a kurt "I haven't given it two thoughts" reply and moved on.

Yes- I couldn’t remember, but that was the question I was referring to.
    Thanks

I meant to say that TH either misunderstood Bohls's initial question, which was obviously referring to LSU for even non-Mensa types, or he was just playing dumb and trolling Bohls. But he was pissed that Bohls was misquoting and/or mischaracterizing what TH said Saturday night about the LSU cramps.

Frankly, the press room would be better without Bohls in it.
