I've watched a ton of Ringo's film. He is like what an NFL corner would look like if he was put in a high school game. I've never seen a corner as developed on the high school level as Ringo is. I've gone on record saying this. But he is one of those guys that College football is a waste of his time. He could go straight to the NFL if the path was available he is that physically gifted.
This looks like a rating service error -- perhaps an over reliance on camp performance. Because there is no way that guy is the #1 QB in the country.
Typical overhype by ESPN to generate interest in their programming. I’m not sure that kid ever plays at aTm
If he wasn't the Top or the best, Jimbo wouldn’t grab him, other than his dad is HC at Longview and may have influence over other recruits in East Texas Something there with Peveto, not sure what. I am, however, confident Dickey can make him a player because Darrell is that good.
I called an Aggie friend to tell him the kid was on TV, and got this, "Why? We'll just screw him up".
A man among boys. He looks like a big blue giant that can toss people aside like rag dolls and really move. On a technical level, I like his discipline in maintaining containment at DE and getting his hands up to block passes and the QB’s view downfield. For a tall, long armed guy, this can result in many blocked passes.
I think we have at least 2 spots open for 5'star guys like Wilson and maybe a linebacker. What I would like to see us get is a weak side DE/Pass Rusher. I don't think any of our 3 DE we have are going to develop into proper pass rusher. I actually think Fillinger will develop into a Mike like Roach played last year. I think Collins and Umanemen will develop into basically the same player a Omenihu type players. We need a WDE who scares offensive coaches to death that they have to scheme against.
2020 class: Since we're not taking a big/"full" class, we'll probably end up in the top 10 (5-10) in most of these sorts of rankings. Our average star count will probably be top 5, or close to it. Right now we're tied for 5th with an Ohio State University (aOSU) in average star rank on Rivals. That's some very good recruiting there.
I heard Herman say this class will (most likely) not be a full class, since there hasn't be the attrition like he experienced in prior years. We're at 19 now, so that may not leave many open slots for the guys that are planning to wait until NSD or especially NSD 2. Thoughts?
