That is not what happened. Ukraine was telling the US that it had started a number of anti-corruption investigations. This prompts Trump to repeat something about Hunter Biden that was already in the news (I.e., open info). Third, the DOJ is already investigating Ukraine’s involvement in the 2016 election (see Kim Strassel’s texts). So, Trump’s conversation was completely apropos. This is actually less of an issue than Trump asking Russia for Hillary’s missing emails (which by the way does not mean Russia to hack since the files were deleted years earlier).

Pay attention! If the Dems do it, it's OK. If Trump does it, it's an impeachable offense. Of course, Trump brushing his teeth or Trump predicting the path of a hurricane are also impeachable offenses.

Two conflicting statements from the IG came out at the exact same time? Do you expect me or anybody here to believe this? Really?

So the Ukrainian president said today Trump did not pressure him nor offer a quid pro quo.
As opposed to Biden bragging he threatened the previous President.

I saw that live. I'm sure that is being characterized that he was forced or pressured to say he wasn't pressured.

You'll need to point me to IG Atkinson's statements. As far as I can find via Google, he hasn't made any public statements and has submitted 2 letters outlining his case.

    1. To Adam Schiff dated 9-9-19.
    2. To Adam Schiff dated 9-17-19.

In #1 the IG lays out the framework of the complaint and alerts Congress to the dispute with the DNI. In #2 he goes into mich more detail about the DNI dispute and his own concern about following the law. In neither letter does he back off the contention that the matter is "urgent concern".

Do you have something more recent?

I've also been unable to find any release from the IG for the report given to the DNI. Specifically, anything mentioning the Whistleblower's bias is being reported on by conservative sites but is not based on public information, as far as I can tell.

Breaking news: the House Intelligence Committee has received the complaint but not the IG's full report per an interview on NPR with a Congressman (didn't catch the name).

The problem is that the Ukrainian President is a first account eye witness. In these serious matters, we should only trust an unidentified political operative of the opposing party and a gaggle of democrats who are fixated on hating Trump.

This is entertaining seeing someone here trying to spin this. All I need is some butter for my popcorn.

CNN has resorted to AOC for deep analysis of the situation. I’m convinced now.

There isn't any quid pro quo in the transcript. If you believe it's there you're a victim of wishful thinking and MSM brainwashing.

These articles are full of mind reading. Also, the WSJ had a great editorial on this. You don’t get to overthrow an election based on something the president did that you may find to be in poor taste or even poor judgment.

So Hunter Biden, with no experience in the oil industry, gets a $50,000 per MONTH board seat on an Ukrainian oil company while his Dad is VP and there doesn’t need to be an investigation?

    Interesting take libs.

IMO, this is far more important than asking to check into Hunter. I don't care which party is in power and who the former VP is, regardless of party something like this needs to be investigated. Who knows what damage this person could do to the US. What Trump did seems to me like a speeding ticket vs a possible felony or more by Hunter.

He also doesn't speak their language and had zero experience or expertise in oil and gas! They were clearly trying to buy influence with Joe Biden, Obama's right-hand man on lots of things, including his energy plan. But, the MSM is agenda driven and this, which could be a juicy scandal, doesn't fit their agenda.

I am still trying to understand what Biden did on behalf of his son vis a vis the Ukraine business dealing is not being investigated.
I am trying to understand how asking a foreign country to investigate a matter in the foreign country is a matter of national security.

    Watching it
The Haters keep trying to get him to say Trump ordered him to not forward the complaint.
How many times will they ask it and he keeps saying NO.

Exactly. He has said countless times that it was mot forwarded because it didn't involve a member of the Intelligence Community. They just flat out ignore that. They are piece of **** hacks.

After reading the Whistleblower complaint I fully support commencing the Impeachment Inquiry. This is not to say Trump should be impeached but rather the gathering of evidence to determine if a case is to be made for impeachment.

I also think an Impeachment Inquiry into Secretary of Justice William Barr should be started.

Finally, wtf is Rudy Rudy Guiliani doing driving or interfering with foreign relations? That should be the first clue that Trump's efforts are anything but above board. He's not an elected or even appointed official. He has no formal relationship to the US Government. Yet Trump is using his office to insert Guiliani where a State Dept official shuld be. Why? Because this isn't about rooting out corruption but rather a political strategy.
