    From the article:

Hunt told the Boston Herald that he filed the bill after being asked to do so by a constituent. "Any time a constituent approaches me with something that is of concern to them, I follow through with it," he said. "In this instance, someone asked me to file a bill that they deemed was important and I thought it was a good exercise to let that bill go through the process."

While critics charge that the bill likely violates the First Amendment, Hunt told the Herald that even if it does, his bill could "illuminate the exhaustive legislative process for people that might not normally be engaged."

I actually get what the guy is doing - he figures he's better off throwing a bone to this person, who will go forward thinking that he has "gone to bat" for her, knowing he won't suffer much if any blowback from the rest of the people who voted him in.

it actually highlights a pretty significant difference in how the left and right handle their fringes. With SOME exceptions, an equivalently crazy right-wing request that violates the constitution would be politely yes'ed out the door and then filed away somewhere. That used to be how the Dems handled their extremists too, but that seems to be going away.

I was trying to think of examples, but to be honest, I can't think of a conservative stance that's equivalently crazy to the city of Austin bringing in a trans former prostitute to read for school kids.

So basically, exactly what the Dems have said before every major election or every major supreme court decision involving a minority in the past 12 years.

Other than being offended on behalf of other peoples, non-stop Trump-hate, and schtupping their interns/employees, what it it that Dems actually offer?

I'd like to know, and maybe we will one day, who actually writes the questions that people like Ms. Wexton and AOC ask. No way in hell these people are coming up with this crap on their own.

Why do many Dems not research?

I'm always amazed at people that jump at outlandish stores to proclaim their public shock. Typically the real story doesn't match the sensationalism of the media narrative feeding their shock.

Doing research would get in the way of their faux outrage as they cater to a fringe element that seeks to impose their will...

I dont know what Watchman did, but the woke crowd wants him to be the next person to lose his job. He probably made a sammitch on white bread, maybe with mayonnaise. Or maybe he opened the door for someone. Something awful like that

I think we live in a society where outrage is almost the default setting. People seem to prefer partisan media that feeds anger. It's not that hard to recognize media, liberal or conservative, that takes a few facts and a lot of hyperbole to feed outrage.
But as long as people pay attention to ********, we'll get more and more of it.

Oxford banned applause and replaced it with jazz hands? The Onion and Babylon Bee are becoming less farcical than reality.

That 'jazz hands' nonsense began making the rounds a few years ago...again, those of us mocking it THEN were considered to be the fringe. It just took a while for the mainstream to finally wake up and begin paying attention...

Rep. Al Green (D-Texas) questioning Mark Zuckerberg on how intersectional the leaders on the Libra project are. Zuckerberg looks at him like he has squirrels climbing out of his head.

If you look at who's on the Financial Services Committee, it's a real **** show. You have some members from both parties who probably are truly knowledgeable of the issues relevant to the committee and probably try to ask serious questions. And then mixed in, you have a circus-like parade of brainless clowns and freak shows - Maxine Waters (Chair), Al Green, Rashida Tlaib, and AOC, who basically sound like 4 year olds at a puppet show.

Even committed 'progressives' should be able to lol at this one. There is so much comedy available out there right now that just gets left on the floor because of PC culture. Like the immediate post above about the idiots in Congress like Al Green or She-Jack ("Jose Altooey and the World Serious") or the guy who thought Guam would tip over. But comedians wont touch them. And everyone knows why, but wont say it out loud. When it comes to comedy, our society is not any better than that of China. Just wait until these humorless thugs get control of the entire federal govt.

Cool. Which parts of the story would you say don't match the sensationalism? What parts of the story have you looked into and found to be false? On what do you base your conclusion that this is all a big nothing?

Here's a pretty decent and seemingly even-handed account of some relevant facts. I'll wait without holding my breath for you to give an honest response.

OK, I feel that I am being forced into true confessions of the spotless mind, but I sometimes use "jazz hands" to get the dogs excited. I even say the words out loud as I perform, usually in the kitchen, "Jazz Hands!" It always wags the tails. What can I say?

Funny how that is not the headline for CNN, that they, aw shucks, were just following orders. Ha, every order by Trump is challenged and questioned by CNN. Not Obama's.

I am no Zuckerman fan but the stupid questions Dem congress people asked him are embarrassing. This was supposed to be a hearing about his Libra cyptro currency but the SJW wanted the camera time to look stupid. It is a toss up between AOC and Al Green
AOC interrogated him about his "ongoing dinner parties with far-right figures, some of whom advance the conspiracy theory that white supremacy is a hoax."

What is humorous in Green's questions is that he actually PRESUMES that those white men actually IDENTIFY internally AS white men. For all he knows, they are closeted transvestites who go home and break out their Liza and Babs while playing dress-up and bemoaning the fact they aren't really women...

Even more sad, however, is the unspoken assertion that a CEO is supposed to be asking employees how they identify...there are a LOT of people who actually DO keep work and personal lives separate.
