    SMU 48 Memphis 54 FINAL

I don't know about this Power 6. Need to think it over a bit more.

    It's better than the PAC.

At least more balanced. Washington and Oregon (and USC once Urban Myth gets his hand on the money) would not have any issues playing in the AAC, but after that, every game would be a dog fight.

Provided the AAC is not added as a 6th Power Conference, the B12 might (might is different from should) consider inviting 2 of their members to join the B12. Memphis and Cincinnati, maybe then approach Utah and one of ASU or UAz if 14 is the goal. I have varying thoughts on WVa staying in the conference. If the goal is to go to 16, then that gets a bit more challenging. No SMU unless its a deal breaker.

No way this conference can play with the big boys...Take Clemson out of the ACC, and the AAC may be able to go up against those teams.

Better to recruit the private Pac12 schools USC and Stanford with the AZ schools and have two divisons E-W. Also, academics are a concern with AAC schools not named Rice.

The P5 needs to shed excess expenses, not add more under productive blood suckers. Look at what the ACC got by adding Syr-excuse. Pitt, BC, and the convixts. Swofford's folly that would have cost him Clemson, FSU, & GT if dumbass Chuckie NeinASS hadn't humped the puppy. Now the ACC has multiple nonproductive schools at the ever shrinking trough.

City schools can't draw flies - see also Pitt/UNC last night; less than 20% full.

Then there's academics. Tulane and Rice are the only ones with superior academics, and neither of them sells tickets or media rights.

    SHRINK NOT EXPAND!

Good thought. Divide the conference in East & West. Assuming WVU stays in the conference, the divisions might look something like:

    West

    USC
    Stanford
    Arizona
    ASU
    Texas
    Tx Tech
    TCU or Baylor

    East
    OU
    other OSU
    Kansas
    KSU
    Iowa St
    WVU
    TCU or Baylor

I wouldn't mind dumping Baylor and picking up Utah, or maybe Colorado (don't really want them) then have:

    West
    USC
    Stanford
    Arizona
    ASU
    Texas
    Tx Tech
    Utah

    East
    OU
    other OSU
    Kansas
    KSU
    Iowa St
    Baylor
    TCU

    Just a thought.
