This poor excuse for basketball is excruciating to watch. Nobody on this team can shoot for spit.

I don’t understand that if this team shoots so well in practice, why doesn’t it translate to the game? This team looks like it has regressed. Some players don’t look like d1 power conference players...

What is Baylor gonna do to this team ? They are beating teams by 35 to 100+ points. Will Texas finish above .500 ? Will Aston be fired ? CDC is supposed to be all about championships......We have a new arena to fill....

Yeah, I mean a 52-26 run is just godawful. The first quarter was bad bad bad, but the team made defensive adjustments, ran better plays, and didn't turn the ball over in the 2nd and the 3rd.

Thats the Texas team I know! Once everyone settled down and ran plays Texas turned back into the Texas team everyone expects them to be. I think aston found out which people work well together and really put that to good use. Lastly charli collier is an absolute beast

So far after 2 games I would call this a work in progress. This team is gonna look good in spurts and drive you crazy in spurts. Hope we get the shooting from beyond 10 feet worked out in a hurry. Charli and Joyner are good enough to keep us in every game; however we need the guard play to step up. I’m guessing it will probably be around the start of the conference schedule when we really know what we got.

We got lost their for a quarter. I'm glad we found ourselves. Those who played defense during practice this week started the gane. I'm glad we got that experiment over with early in the season. Now let's start the starters and keep this train moving.

Sure wish Celeste would break out of her slump. It’s a bad look for our recruiting story.

It’s a bad look because a FRESHMAN hasn’t shot the ball well in her first 2 games? Ok.

As Jeff Walz said about Celeste, it’s not all about scoring with her. Tonight: 10 boards, 3 assists, 2 blocks, and a steal plus a few hustle plays (deflections, going to the floor to save a possession, etc.).

Still rusty. Couple of good moves to the basket but you can tell she’s not 100%

With that kind of line I can look past the offensive side for awhile. Bri Taylor type stats.

As karen aston said sug just needs those in game reps and continue to practice hard and she will easily go back to the sug we all know. Nobody should be worried about her because its all going to come back to her.

She got the picked (ball poked out of her hand) while she was standing, dribbling, and surveying the court at half-court.

    In other words, same.

If the team can stay healthy (a big if), I actually think fewer players will benefit Aston. She’s never been good at substitutions - she seems to substitute at will with no real strategy. Maybe she can settle on fewer rotations and the team can play with cohesion.
The first quarter was an absolute mess. Settled down after that. No idea if this win means much because UTSA is bad. Baylor would beat them by 80.

We were fine from 2nd quarter on. Charli and Joyner are fun to watch. I was impressed by Isabel, not her shooting, but her passing and playmaking. When she starts hitting her three's, she's going to be a big help. Once anyone starts hitting some threes, they will be a big help.

I think Andrea Lloyd brings a lot of insight in her role as color commentator or whatever you call her. There was some definite implicit (not direct) criticism of Aston from her for going with such a weird starting line-up. Andrea is not afraid to criticize some, in a nice way. I've never heard anyone criticize our defensive effort, letting their players run by us, etc., but Andrea did and she was right.

I've been thinking the EXACT same thing... the only issue is the overplaying man-to-man defense leaves the bigs vulnerable to foul trouble. That's where lack of depth (especially in the post) will kill us. Hopefully she'll realize and adjust somewhat.

Honestly who on this board gives an actual f by how much Baylor may or may not beat UTSA ??? Is UTSA even on their schedule? This is not a Baylor fan site. UT beat UTSA by 31. Next...

Right everyone seems to talk about baylor like they are just invincible. Baylor puts no fear in our hearts and nobody cares what they do until its time for texas to play them
