COACHING has BAYLOR 28-3 over an o.u. team that we looked like we should not have been on the same field with....BAYLOR's COACHES had a plan that worked....WE looked totally inept....TOTALLY.....

You have point Seattle, but no matter how good Baylor looks tonight, a different ou team will show up in Arlington and get the ticket to play either UGa or Alabama in the Sugar Bowl.

At this rate, I think OK State could hang with OU and sneak in to play Baylor.

Baylor's a much different team than we are. They limit the mistakes and take advantage of opponent ones.

I think the bright side is that Baylor will have nothing to play for with the CCG locked up and no chance that pollsters will move them into the Top 4 of the CFP. So maybe they'll be overlooking us. Fine by me.

I think you are underestimating Baylor Horns11. But what do I know.

More than likely it will be spent emotional effort that catches up with them next Saturday.

Certainly a different team with Lamb. Also everything just breaking right for Baylor. What I like about Baylor is the game isn't too big for them. They came in with a plan and they are just kicking ***.

Maybe, but we don’t have the coaching staff to take advantage of it. I doubt rape u will be flat against us, we are still hated with a passion.

They are absolutely *****-slapping OU, 31-10 at the half.

I agree we have talent on this team. But it is obviously not being developed. Guys miss assignments, blocking breaks down, the D has more issues than a person would think possible. This could be another trainwreck season like the ones Charlie produced.

What happened to that vaunted Baylor coaching in the second half? Soooo much better than Texas....

Do we really need to compare Baylor and Texas coaching at this point?

    9-1, 6-1 vs 6-4, 4-3?

I'm just saying those awesome coaches at Baylor took a big lead and then blew it. I'm guessing "we" will want to pick and choose where we label Baylor's coaching great......

THIS is my point.....BAYLOR is coming off YEARS of piss-poor recruiting because no one wanted to go there because of the TEAM RAPE University reputation Biles left it....and the were 9-0 going into last night and blew o.u. off the field in the first half....we have not blown anyone off of the frick'n kicking tee all year, we have taken FIVE GIANT STEPS back since the first of the season, and our play calling and discipline as a team playing a team sport that we don't even seem to be able to play without getting penalty after penalty ALL GAME LONG....EVERY FRICK'N GAME!!! THAT IS COACHING!!!

The Baylor OU game was almost a mirror image of ours from last year. The difference is Sam was able to get that last minute drive towards the game winning field goal, Brewer was not.

I'll be shocked if we don't make a DC change. Doubt TH will be given a choice. AD is going to have to throw the fans a bone after this season.

Our OC is worse than our DC. Defense has been fine the last two weeks when the injured players we lost came back. TB is who needs replacing, I would demote him to QB Coach and make Fedora or bring in an OC from outside. I think Fedora could do it.

Isn’t Fedora an analyst? I know that may not give him much say. But I’d be concerned his fingerprints might already be on this **** show.

I agree TB may be a hair worse. Imagine if the offense had the same injury bug this year. The offense didn’t even need that to happen and has become so predictable it’s a joke to watch.

This is the same predicament Strong put himself in with Bedford and Watson. There is no winning solution. You either fire both coordinators which screams “dumpster fire”. Or you try to figure out which one might bring something to the table and cover for him while he continues to fail at his core job. For that matter I think TB might be a good position coach. Can’t say that for TO.

If The defense shows up, the offense shits the bed. If the offense shows up the defense shits the bed. Sometimes they both **** the bed in the same day or they flip the script at halftime. But they never both show up to play a 4 qtr football game on the same day.
And the special teams consistently **** the bed. Every week.

It sounds like I am mad at the players but I agree this is on the coaches. This happens every week. It’s the culture that Herman has failed to change. They are not doing their homework during the off-season and as a result they are going from week to week putting out new fires instead of getting better at anything we do.

Herman had not changed. If he thinks his team can win on talent alone there is no proper planning. If he thinks he cannot win on talent alone, proper planning and game plan.

Wasn't sure about the Beck hire from day one.
    Now I am.
There needs to be a change.

I would definitely change OC. Someone with a different philosophy. I like the i-formation where you can fake a handoff up the middle and throw behind the linebackers, or go misderection. I also love those counter plays with the pulling guard and tackle. Also would have someone in motion, like Duvernay, at the time of the snap- get a running start at the secondary or a reverse. At least make the linebackers think for a moment and perhaps get a 2 step Advantage which makes all the difference in the world.

Is there an OC that can get a QB to hit receivers in stride after a fake handoff. How about more wheel routes- they've proven successful. Or like someone said let RJ throw it after a handoff.
Granted, there have been moments of creativity like when our lineman caught a backward pass and ran it in for a touchdown. But we don't seem to get creative in "bigger" games.
Is it difficult to draw up a play card with creative/misdirection plays as well as regular plays. Mixem up.
Hell I would do a last second shift into the wishbone in the middle of the game and run the option. Pitch the ball to Duvernay out of the wishbone and see what happens. Champions have been won using the wishbone.

28 straight unanswered points by Blow U made Baylor look pretty inept in my book.

No W, no points for coaching.

A DC at aOSU who was lit up by Purdue and barely saved from a Maryland Victory by Maryland running out of players. Same thing as DC at OU with home game against ISU this year. And right after OU got run over by KSU.

Now, exactly what was your point?

Pat Riley, Pop and Phil Jackson needed the greatest players in history to win. That being said, without great players a great coach should still shine with what he has ("He can take his'n and beat your'n and take your'n and beat his'n) because his scheme and intelligence should be evident in how he goes about managing the situation.

Les Miles has displayed his talents. At Kansas. With less than what Herman has.

But the injuries... ok. Is that the real story?

If we are not winning games then I don't see where his opinion matters.
If players opinions mattered then Charlie would have gotten another year at least.
Kansas hired a new OC with one week to game plan and he ripped us a new *******.
Beck isn't capable of anything close to that.
