Fedora meeting with Ole Miss - they cannot do better, but I hope Larry weighs that AD is an inexperienced tool that will sell him down the river at first opportunity.

Herman is in Houston meeting with Graham Harrell today

Harrell to me is interesting. While I really don’t like him, he seems feisty, intelligent, and is his own guy. He might cause some problems in meetings, and disagree with philosophy at times. He seems cut right from the Leach cloth.
He just might work for a year or two. Might even be good for TH, and challenge him.

I want talent. If Harrel has talent and believe he does, bring him in. I do want to run the ball though. Still think you need to be balanced. Leach would run out of those wide splits though. A back like Robinson might do really well as he can run and catch and has elite skills at both. Also think RJ could do well in that offense.

Great points above Bijan, and RJ. They would be perfect for that type of offense.
I would be a little concerned about Harrell in recruiting.

I would think if we have a winning program recruits will come and besides if Harrell does well he won’t be here long.

Well if they by-pass me I think Harrell could be adequate. I think he is creative and unpredictable. I think he coaches up tempo. I hate him personally because he beat my high school team in the championship game. BUT I'M OVER THAT.

We need someone who can own the play calling. No more of this play calling by committee crap. I hope Tom Herman has the humility to bring someone in, get out of his way, trust him to make the offense over into something else. Whoever he gets needs to have the stones to stand up for what he thinks.
Harrell sounds like the kind of guy.

IMO, one reason we were so unable to adapt our offense this year is that we had the HC, Herb Hand, Beck, and a minimum of two analysts designing the offense.

That's a big ship to steer, and course corrections were painfully slow to happen.
Not to mention I bet it was just a big echo chamber.

Echo chambers are destructive and dangerous. Live in one too long especially as the leader, and your a controlling narcissist. I’m not calling TH that but relinquishing some control would be good for him!

We have a "leader"? For me the last few weeks is proving we have no leadership on or off the field.

The OC and DC decision should be done together. If you select an OC that runs a tempo offense, need to compliment him with someone who can have a defensive scheme to compliment it.

Yeah, and Brady is staying at LSU, just not signing any contracts until next year.

I am sure it’s not just me, but I could never get past that dropped interception which knocked us out of the NCG in what was arguably Colt’s best year.

I was at the game in the Tech alumni section. I struggle to get over it myself.

    Get over it.
Sure, would of been nice had he intercepted the pass.
But that one play didn't lose the game.

This defense sure could have used a QB of the back 7 like Blake Gideon this year.

Yep, it all went downhill on the first play when Tech got the safety.

    DS,

Are you suggesting some leadership would have been helpful in the locker room and on the field?

Perish the thought. We don’t need no stinkin leadership.

Yes, it did. If BG catches that ball, the game is over and we run out the clock. He dropped a MNC and a Heisman for Colt. We were a better team in 2008 than in 2009. It's a bitter pill for me.
