Christine Blasey Ford given an award for courage from the ACLU. She deserves an award like Mili Vanili deserved a Grammy.

The "Believe women" mantra was always stupid. It's a pretty basic truth that people should be believed or disbelieved on an individual basis.

I find this overly used term "credible" very problematic. The MSM continually used it when they didn't have a shred of actual evidence. They relied on their personal and biased assessment of "credible" to essential create a narrative of "true". And yet when faced with much more evidence they haven't found the Epstein issue "credible" enough to blitz that event.

Did MSM cover this? I do not remember.
For over a month she misled the Committee and media and us and wasted everyone's time.
Even though this letter is from Nov a year ago I do not remember seeing it before

It is a pretty important letter. A search on this letter did not turn up any mainstream coverage except for a small article with USA Today.
But I also did not find out if there was any investigation of her or the other liar Grassley called to be investigated.

The whole thing has blown over of course except his main accuser was given an award and a nice steak dinner the other day. The Mueller Report has suddenly gone with the wind. Anything like this letter is considered non-news and as if it never happened. It's pretty sick given what Kavanaugh was forced to endure right in front of his family. The ruthlessness is despicable.

Once again, the Liberal standard of fact is an accusation without proof or testimony without direct knowledge.

The same ruthlessness Trump and his family are enduring.
Sickening . The only difference is Trump strikes back but I doubt that eases the pain hus family feels. Is he crude? Oh yea. Too crude? Sometimes .

Justice Kavanaugh chooses to try to ignore the lies and thank goodness does not gave to endure 24/7 like Trump does .

It's too easy to say the Left attacks Trump because he's an insensitive *******. They treated George Bush with equal disdain and administered the same level of venom. They wanted to hang him as a war criminal (never mind that Hillary voted for the Iraq War Resolution). They mocked Laura's car accident that killed her boyfriend long ago. The mocked his throwing of the first pitch after 9/11 in Yankee Stadium. They called him a moron and an idiot. Yet now we see Michelle hugging him. The context of all of this is political power and the emotional hang-ups of the beneficiaries of the Liberal Industrial Patronage Complex.

The fact that Leftists wanted to hang GWB when in office but now applaud when he hugs Michelle Obama shows how much of a farce national politics are.

It's all a game that they are playing for power. They don't really mean any of it. They say what they can to get their name in a history book. But when it all comes down, they are all a part of the same caste with the same interests.

Their interests are not our interests.

He doesn't get attacked because he's an *******. He would get attacked anyway because of his politics. Being an ******* just makes the attacks much more effective.

Not for me. There is not one thing he could ever say about the left or the media (but I repeat myself) that I would say, "Oh, that's going too far". Nothing.

I mostly agree but there are times he should take a deep breath and rethink some of his tweets.
I think back to the election and my concerns about him based mostly in his inexperience in government but knowing I could never have voted for her. NOW I am so glad I did. What he has done for this country so outweighs any tweet.
Heck getting Kavanaugh onto the court outweighs several hundred tweet. Especially knowing to what lengths the Dems went to to try to keep him off.

I'm glad he got confirmed, but it's mostly because I was horrified at the disgusting and sleazy tactics deployed to deny him. Honestly, it was dirtier than the Bork fight.

However, don't be shocked if Kavanaugh disappoints you in the long term. His judicial record doesn't suggest that he's a staunch ideological conservative or originalist. He won't be a disaster like John Paul Stevens or David Souter, but it wouldn't surprise me if gets soft and goes with the liberal wing on some critical social issues. In other words, don't be shocked if he ends up a lot like the guy he replaced.

If his nomination had gone down on more honorable grounds and then Amy Coney Barrett had been nominated in his place, I would have been pleased. She would be a beast, and she's only 4 years older than I am. That means she'd have a massive, long-term impact on the Court. However, I suspect that Trump is saving her for the Ginsburg seat.

Yes. I just think his insensitive nature is a huge liability and it give the Left political cover for doing what they would do even if he was a soothing, grandfatherly, eloquent speaker. They hate anything except themselves. Trump's bombast is giving power to political charlatans such as Beto and Warren. They have more credibility than they deserve. Their "ideas" and vision for our country as become normalized in some quarters because people are afraid to stand by Trump due to his manner.

If the nominee is Biden or Buttigieg, he could very easily lose. If it's Sanders or Warren, then I'd be more inclined to agree.

I don't think Biden stands much of a chance. He will look bad in the debates with his verbal gaffes, he is as corrupt as Trump, he feels up little girls, his comments about enjoying working with sketchy people in the past. I think there will be too much for Trump to attack credibly.

Nobody at this point would “very easily” beat Trump. I admit Trump won the electoral big against the worst candidate in history. But he did it with everyone against him In places you normally wouldn’t want to be the enemy of. Media, law enforcement agencies, and much more. He also beat some really good candidates in the republican primary. He was also outspent by a ton of money in the general election in 2016 and only had his promising words to argument about what kind of success he’d have. Now he has much more than just his words and much more money. Nothing has changed with him as far as his tweets and in your face rhetoric from the 2016 race to the 2020 race. The polls are always wrong by about 10 to 15 points and it’s always favored to the democrats no matter who’s running. So if Trump is slightly a head in certain states you can bet he’s actually way ahead. This will be a landslide victory no matter who the democrat challenger is. As well as Trump has done policy wise, it’s actually more of the Dems own doing that will get them the biggest smack down in history.

Plus America doesn’t like giving a party too much power. That’s why when a President wins, the very next mid term election they tend to vote for the party that gives the check and balance. This is very different like no other time in history. Although the Republicans have the presidency and the senate, it’s like the Dems have the majority even though they only have the House. The reason is because they are abusing their power they have with bullying tactics and all the clowning they’ve done since Trump has come into power. The Dems are so desperate that they are coming across as fools. Because the Dems are out of control the American people will vote for more checks and balance for Congress. Mark my word on that. I was 100% right when most here were telling me that Hillary would win easily.

I heard a radio personality say that Pamela Karlan, the impeachment constitutional witness who brought up Barron Trump, was on Hillary's short list of potential Supreme Court appointees. Besides being a radical liberal, it didn't hurt that Karlan donated a bunch of money to Clinton's campaign.

All I can say is thank God Clinton didn't win.

Unless Democrats had a big majority in the Senate, she'd have no chance of being confirmed. She's a lesbian, so they would pitch the "making history" crap and accuse her opponents of bigotry. (Elena Kagan is rumored to be a lesbian, but that hasn't been confirmed. If she is, she has never made it an issue or tried to exploit it.)

Her radicalism and bitchiness would sink her.
