Honestly it doesn't surprise me, most people who don't know Utah have a hard time wanting to move there. I've lived there twice in my life and I love the state, but I have no desire to move back. It's much like getting a top executive to want to move to San Antonio. If you haven't visited or lived in San Antonio, most don't want to live there. This is why it's hard to attract corporations to move their head quarters here, and even harder to keep them here.

I'm guessing that within about 5 years you are going to see Whataburger's headquarters leave San Antonio.

Major difference. I have never lived in Utah, nor would I. I have done business in Utah involving healthcare and real estate. The prevailing attitude among the various companies was “how can we f**k him out of the most money”

Their “professionals” were overwhelmingly ignorant and not prepared for someone that did his homework before arrival. They tried to cut my fee in half, but wound up paying me double.

The developer said, “no one it Utah has ever paid that large a fee”. I told him that no one in Utah had ever pissed me off. Wire the money now or go on over to the bankruptcy court.

Only people in SA I’ve run into that bad was that midget that ran Baptist.

Prediction : Gonna be just like Malik Jefferson. Game day decision, and he won't play unless his brother is healthy and they both get on the field together for the first and last time !!!

I won't be surprised if he dresses and comes out to warm up, then we see him in street clothes on the sidelines at the kickoff. Too bad he missed so much of the season. Could have really helped our O, and pushed his draft status higher. At least he'll be there and wasn't a guy who was fully able to play, but dumped his team to prepare for the draft. Those are the "all about me" guys I can't stomach.

Ouch, well Whataburger ain’t Texas owned as of few months ago so we’ll see how the new owners see things. All I kno is that if they change the recipe to the double Whataburger, I’m out! Don’t sell SA short, we’ve been on the grow for a couple of decades. Austin is exploding too but with a major influx of “California” much to my dismay.

My experience I had more bad business dealings in Dallas than anywhere else. My most positive business dealings had been in Minneapolis. People there were always a pleasure to deal with. Of course this was back when I was in IT sales, I've since moved into a non-sales role where I don't have to worry about it. I do my job and I get paid no questions, no haggle.

I am laying 60-70% of the injury issues on incorrect and ineffective S&C. To bad McKnight didn't get the same treatment.

Most were either knee/leg or shoulder. Strength and conditioning can only improve the recovery, not prevent, those kind of injuries.

Might as well sue the shoulder pad equipment guys too while you are at it. :rolleyes1:

Incorrect. Poor S&C leads to Pec, groin and hamstring injuries. Linemen have to pay attention to building muscle tone and aero in addition to strength. Incorrect lifting technique bruises the pec muscle which, if not treated (and they seldom are), eventually will lead to pec strain or tear. Backs and receivers require running muscle toning and aero S&C.

Presuming by "aero" you are meaning aerobics and not aerodynamics?

It is tough to condition connective tissue. Hamstrings can be a number of things, but if I were a coach (and I never will be), I would be putting those guys in ballet and yoga. Pre-stretching in football pre-games seems to be more of a power stretching which induces more injuries than it prevents.

or have the sprinters & hurdles S&C coach develop a program for the backs and receivers.

Why? So he can be criticized by know-it-all's on the internet when things don't go perfectly?

Well players are so muscled up it's hard to know what is the best s&c and stretching program. It's all a crap shoot and bad things are going to happen. I laugh at those who say we should fire the s&c coach. We probably have a good one.

The deal is all players are built like tanks and they hit each other hard. So injuries are going to happen cause you can't strengthen joints. Longevity in football requires a lot of luck and smarts.

My blame goes all on the fact that it was our back 7 doing 95% of all the tackling. When your leading tacklers are Dbs who are built for speed you know they are going to get hurt. Our dline was terrible at tackling because they were never in position to make one. That is 100% on the DC. Might as well not even had a dline.

This. Just increases risk of injury with more plays.

Texas 247 thinks Beck will coach the bowl, but he's gone after that game

I agree, the play of the d-line was underwhelming due to bad schemes. Can't wait to see what Coburn, Sweat and Broughton can do playing together. Probly left someone out. Ash will have solid players from front to back at his disposal, maybe a little weak at linebacker. I hope we get help there with the portal or juco. Yeah, we can't let the dbs do all the tackling.

Wouldn't Overshown make a good linebacker? I think he has size and good speed and was making plays the last couple of games.

Jeez, wait until OSU and LSU find out. They thought they were playing a good DL.
