You give them too much credit. Plus, they will be primaried if they don’t vote impeachment. It’s called marching into a narrow ravine (kill zone). It’s poor strategy. This is what TDS does to you.

They are in a tough spot -- Nancy would not only primary them but if they survived, they will be sent to the committee to study Iceland. OTOH, if they break with Nancy, there is a good chance they will get trounced in the general. Either way, they are looking at the end of their political careers. It will be interesting to see if some of them vote to impeach, lose their election but then land some retardedly high-paying job. This is how Dems roll.

"If it fails to happen after this, I think you could see real violence breaking out on a large scale. The public will has spoken very loudly and very clearly - again."

Again. Believe it when I see it.

If violence does break out that would be a good thing, because if not the British are slaves.

Agree. It's appalling that it had to go as far as it did.

Before the 2016 election in the US, leftists made a very big deal about whether the right would accept the results of the election and allow for a peaceful transition of power, which has long been a hallmark of democratic systems of government.
But then Trump won and BREXIT happened (basically twice now)

The Left has not accepted the results of anything since
What a bunch of lawless hooligans

I have been in conversation with American Leftists online today. They are convinced that the UK vote was strictly a conservative vote (it involved many former Labour voters) based on racism, hatred of capitalism (rich coming from socialists and statists), and bully smaller countries with individual trade deals.

    Very delusional.

Has the Left ever not claimed racism as a big reason why a conservative won? That's pretty much their standard rap.

Deez, I am at the Frankfurt airport on way to Delhi and my team is complaining it is too hot in the airport. I wish I could open a window. It is 45 F outside.

It's a warm December, but Germans' worst nightmare is somebody being cold. Accordingly, they will always make sure that the heat is on and that windows are closed. Stuffiness and heat are the goals. If you're in Terminal 1, you're in luck. There're are plenty of food and drink options. Terminal 2? Well just be grateful you can get some overpriced bottled water. I pretty much hate FRA.

Airport has the charm of an industrial building made from cargo containers.

Two reasons for that. First, it was built to be a USAF base (Rein-Main AFB). The history goes back further than that, but the infrastructure in place was built for the USAF. Second, it's run by Germans. They aren't known for their charm.

Yes. That wasn't surprising. But their claim that Brexit is anti-Capitalism and a repudiation of Thatcher completely floored me. It was such an over reaction and super distortion of reality.

You're right. There's a weird dynamic to the EU v. nation state debate that is mostly devoid of reality. The EU is framed as the institution of democracy and free enterprise while the nation states are framed as institutions of authoritarianism and restrictive economics.

The democracy nonsense is an utter fairytale. Every national government in Europe is more democratic than the EU is. Victor Orban is far more of a democrat and has far more credibility on democracy than anyone in the EU.

The economic argument has a little more merit in some parts of Europe. There are Eurosceptic movements that are more socialistic than the EU is. However, that definitely is not the case for most of them and certainly isn't so in the UK.

Sounds like a lot of places here that overreact to the cold by blasting the heat indoors as if they've forgotten that the cold weather means people aren't going to be wearing shorts and t-shirts. And plus it's probably the first guy there in the morning who sets the baseline, forgetting that masses of body heat will warm the place up on its own later on.

It's deeper than that though. Germans have a real phobia about being cold. They are constantly asking if people are cold, offering to turn on the heat, etc. even when it's warm. They also believe some weird things about air conditioning - like that the dryness of it causes disease.

The belief is that since there is an EU Parliament that the undemocratic EU Council is actually a democratic organization. There is a scintilla of popular representation therefore it is "democracy" and therefore "good". I have less faith in base level democracy. I think it can be used as a justification for government corruption. I think that is what is happening with the EU and why Brexit is the correct decision.

It is probably from the fact that in the past the cold meant disease and death. Plants and people die when they are exposed to the cold at a much higher rate than dieing when exposed to heat.

Yes, but that's true for every culture that lives in a cold climate. They're weird about it. Even other Europeans aren't like the Germans.

And frankly, it isn't even that cold.

If he lives in the Italian Alps, he's got nothing to ***** about. I've visited there a few times. It's beautiful. This is the view from a place I stated in Castelrotto. He's got a pretty easy life if he lives there. Tell him to put on a jacket.

Foreign tourists poop on his running trail - thats a big one

And Tyrol doesnt want to be part of Italy, or be split in half

Are homeless people from San Francisco going to Tyrol?

I'm with him on that. It's completely absurd that any part of Tyrol is in Italy. That area is Austro-German. Nothing about it is Italian. The people there mostly speak German. If you go to a restaurant, you're more likely to see schnitzel and beer than pasta and red wine (though Tyrol does make good wine - I have some.). The traditional architecture looks Austrian. Cities like Bolzano look and feel more like Innsbruck or even Munich than like Rome. Culturally and politically, they have more in common with Austria than Italy.
