I call BS. Every coach looks at every practice as an evaluation at who is best at his position. Remember, he could not even catch Buechele. At best, he was tied with Thompson. I liked him too, but dumb choices and lack of self-confidence is not a reason to keep him.

Bottom line is, if he had the cojones to stay, he likely would have played this year. He did not play where he could not play at Utah.

There are a lot of people with which I have not had the occasion to interact. There are many with whom I am in awe that I have. Such is life.

I agree that Tom was not going to let anybody beat out Sam. My hope is that a new OC will be allowed to manage the QB position. Tom likes a bulldozer at that position too much.

I thought Mack’s inability to manage this position was his undoing. Colt and Vince were no-brainers but his failure to have a backup ready when Colt went down and his hardheadedness in the B-12 championship game against Colorado might have cost him a couple of MNCs. A lot of good QBs never saw the field, many transferred, and a ton of them graduated from high school in Texas, never attended UT, and had very good careers in the NFL.

Mack appeared to not want to be pressured by QB controversy and the best way to keep that from happening was to keep the others on the bench, or, to not recruit them. His final blow was passing on quality recruits and telling everybody that they would stay with Ash. The kid had to quit, Mack gets fired, and Charlie has no QB.

Like Mack, Tom appears to be hardheaded. If he is smart, he will make the right OC hire and get out of the way.

    What have I missed?

It is great to have a back-up with game experience, but other than LaTech and sand aggy which game would you have wanted Thompson to play? Establishing unbeatable leads in the first 2 1/2 quarters provides the opportunity. Which game in 2019 did Texas in hand by the middle of the third quarter?

247 Mike Roach on Kelvontay Dixon

I spoke to Dixon following his MVP performance at the state title. He's still hearing from Texas and plans to take an official visit in January. I've heard Baylor and UTSA as schools that are really coming on.

UTSA is where Traylor ended up

Zach Evans will be on his 2nd NFL contract before aggy faces Georgia again.
So that's sort of a win for aggy

I saw that list, and noted we are still pursuing about 6 of those on that list. We need one DB, one WR, two Dlinemen, and possibly another linebacker.

Don't know where Buckley is sitting academically, but we could sure use him. Ringo is of course my wettest of wet dreams, but I'd also love to get Manning. If for no other reason than to see the hot wet tears of aggys everywhere.

This brings me back to the dline, I can't stress enough that if we get only one guy on that list, It better be Alfred Collins, he is the gem of what we need more than anyone else. By switching to a 4 man front, Umanmielen has moved up on my list as well.

You are spot on, Austin Bill. Moving a DT out to end does not make him a pass rusher. Baylor’s second best DE (in the games I saw) made AA. Oddly, they had the best D in Big 12. With guys we didn’t recruit. Front 4 rush is biggest part of defense in our league. Allows LBs to play LB and safeties to play safety. Stunning what a pass rush does to improve all the DBs and suddenly, the coach is smarter. It may be a dull, non flashy recruit but a game changer. Defense I understand. Can dictate the other teams offense.

As to Sam being a bulldozer. Praise God. Take that away we’d have looked like intramural team. One RB is almost never good for a team. And praise God we had a team player like Roshon. Might Sam have been concussed? Hell, if there is anybody that took those blows and wasn’t, a brain scan might have been inconclusive in locating one.

    Both are super talented. But...

JQJ - a team player who just suffered an injury.

Evans - a major head case who will cause problems wherever he lands.

OB/Justin Wells claims that Card was indeed talking to Georgia. He was even set to go visit them (as the the Georgia mods were saying). But he and his family ended up meeting with Herman until late night pre-signing day. You might recall Hudson tweeted out something about sticking with Texas. But this is all from OB so ....

    Check the time and date

I met them both. Bum was a pretty big guy. And he was really nice to my mom, so that was fantastic.

Probably OC related. Him signing likely means OC situation is okay.

Why Bijan only had 128 carries his senior season:

Lots of broken ankles and lost jockstraps.
