Put a fork in OU. They are done for the year. And Grier does show to be a fraud on defense

Hornfans, Oklahoma is THE flagship football program for our conference. Are we witnessing the beginning of the end of the SWC? I mean, Big 12?

"Great players can usually overcome lousy coaching. But great coaching can seldom overcome lousy talent."

--The high school basketball coach that told me he could teach me defense and how to hit free throws, but that he couldn't teach me height or speed.

Seriously? 39 yard completion? Then an easy toss to the back of the end zone. There are no words remaining.

Yep. The race does not always go to the swiftest. USC may be good on paper, but the game is played on the field. I see some of the worst aspects of our team in this USC team. Fortunately, I think we will shake off this down cycle long before the Trojans do.

Who knows. Conference or no conference, OU sucks, and I’m still routing for LSU.

Better tell that to the service academy football coaches. They seem to do well with almost uniformly at best players who would be lucky to be second string in most P5 programs.

    Zucker-

The Big 12 was always a short term answer to a long term problem. Those who think the beginning of the end of the end for the SWC was the Death Penalty or Arkansas bolting, are a couple of decades off. It was on life support in the late 1960's.

There is NO Power 5 program that wants to come be a part of the Big 12 dumpster fire. Adding "city" schools, (Louisville, Houston, Tulane, Cincinnati, Rice, basically any of the old Missouri Valley), is folly and simply adding fuel to the fire.

This is a rudderless ship without Sen. Boren or DeLoss to call in favors and strong arm people who need to look at this a different way. I have no answers. I don't even have good alternatives that don't involve Texas and OU going Independent and keeping the Big 12 alive for the Olympic Sports.

    Hook Them.

Au contraire! I think there are several schools in the Pac12 that would love to have B12 problems and cashflow. Two of them are private and two of them are in AZ.
