Back in 2007, the BBC was citing "US Scientists" to support their warning that the Arctic would be ice-free by 2013.

I would like to see today's school kids taught how often and by what a large degree these alarmists have been wrong. I would even like to see a willingness among modern adult progressives to learn the facts, but this seems to be impossible.

Likewise, Al Gore told us in 2009 that the Arctic would be ice-free in 2014.

Back in 2013, Nature published an article that an an ice-free Arctic in 2015 could lead to a catastrophic methane release.

Back in 2013, a "Navy scientist" sped up the timeline to warn the Arctic could be ice-free as early as 2016, ‘84 years ahead of conventional projections.’

The only certainty is that they want money and power. Fear is their only tactic. Using brain-washed children is their latest gambit. Imagine, all we have to do is give billions and billions to the UN along with subordinating our sovereignty and they will save the world. The fact that prior pronouncements and predictions have no bearing on the stature of the orator is telling. They just keep at it. This is a long-term goal though they are using short-term fear to accomplish it. They are patient and will continue to bang the drum because every year more and more children are being raised like Greta and they are well positioned now to have these children GLADLY hand over their tax dollars.

Back on July 9, 2009, Prince Charles (not the pedo one) assured us that we only had 96 months to save the planet.

Yet on July 9, 2017, we were still here.

Back in 1988, the United Nations predicted the Maldives would be completely under water by 2018.

But the Obamas probably bought some oceanfront property there recently

Back to "NASA scientist" James Hansen. Back in 1989, he predicted New York City’s West Side Highway would be underwater by 2019.

We are almost through 2019 and so we can now safely file this away among several of his other never-happened calamities.

Back in 2004, the Guardian told us a secret Pentagon report said Britain would have a Siberian climate by the 2020s.

Although we are not yet to the 2020s, gonna call this one bullschit too

Back in 2000, it was predicted that snowfalls are just a thing of the past, that heavy snow would disappear for 20 years and then return only occasionally leaving us “unprepared.”

I saw a survey the other day of graduating high schoolers, 85% could not identify either Joseph Stalin or Chairman Mao, had no idea who they were or what they did. I think all of the incorrect alarmism of "Climate Change" gets the same treatment.

On a micro-level I am personally experiencing the way to achieve conservation and personal benefit. I have a tumbler (drink holder) and a straw from Juiceland that I keep in my car. I drink a smoothie every morning for breakfast. The tumbler and the straw provide me with a 60 cent discount every time. Both the tumbler and the straw have been paid for many times over. This is a win win solution. I have eliminated much waste over the past three or four years. And yes, I clean the straw everyday with hot soapy water. No ugly old microbes in me man.

Good man. I mean, why the hell not if it helps the world. It's just a little effort at first that becomes a lifestyle habit that is easy to manage.

It’s been written elsewhere how conservation, energy efficiency, and innovation has kept resource depletion to low levels, allowing more of the worlds population to have a higher standard of living. With earth population peaking by 2050 (don’t believe the projections for a later peak that require no drop in African birth rates between now and then), we just need to hold out for 15-30 more years before the doomsayers find another canard.

bystander, I read that guy is going to step down as UK central bank head to lead a UN commission on climate change mitigation. Complete conflict of interest going on.

I've said this before. She needs to go to China and how dare them. She is a brain-washed little teenager safely being escorted around by Liberals to attack the people that matter: Those who are in their way.

    Why does she avoid China?
Doesnt everyone know they are the #1 polluter in the world? Isnt this common knowledge?
If it is, then the fact that Greta never mentions them must be intentional. This is the only reasonable conclusion
Which leads to this -> she was told to leave them out and that she should focus on the US and Europe
If so, who told her to do this? Who has this kind of control over her? The Soros people? Some kind of "professional handler?" If so, who is paying for the handler? Who is paying for all her travel, lodging and food? Follow the money

This "climate change" nonsense was never an environmental movement but a movement to establish totalitarianism in the West. This is just further proof.

That may be correct but I would still like to know the answers to my questions. Our media often chants the 'follow the money' mantra, but not here. Another intentional choice along this road.

China was actually lowering their emissions before the Paris Climate Agreement was signed and then started increasing emissions afterwards. What a joke.

Yes, the exclusion of China and India from forced reductions does make the whole thing seem like a sham, aimed at something else besides a decrease in carbon emissions. A sham with an ulterior motive. I dont see how an honest and reasonable person can draw any other conclusion.
