Some dream of sugar plum fairies dancing this time of year.

I dream of Bijan dancing through defenses next fall.

Do not miss his off handed leaping catch 0:36 in. There will be a pop quiz.

Here is why Bijan sat the second half in most games.

Didn't do anything in all-star game...That doesn't bode well. Most studs usually shine in those games ( Adrian Peterson, etc, etc..) I know you can't put too much stock in those games, but with what he looked like on tape, you'd think he would have done something. Worrried that his opponents might have simply suuuucked. Guess we will have to wait until he lines up vs USF next season.

He only had two or three caries. First one was for 9 yards.

Do not be such negative Nancys with your underwear in knots and on your periods.

I for one, am looking forward to kick off in the fall. We'll have a good look at Bijan's raw talents early, especially against LSU on the road in game #2.

Well that's good as long as he's not beat up and injured during fall practice. That's what I'm concerned about.

Hopefully Herman learned something, or the new OC and DC can give him some advice about how to practice without getting err'body hurt yet be physical.

Bijan Robinson Is A Special Kind of Student Athlete:

    From Texas Football Braniacs:

Bijan Robinson Puts on Display at All American Bowl
    – CJ Vogel

I was only able to spend four days with 5-star RB Bijan Robinson during the All American Bowl, but what I was able to take away from that time is there may not be a more special recruit in this cycle.

Bijan is one of the most genuine people I have come across since I started covering recruiting, oh and not to mention he’s really good at the game of football. The Longhorns are getting an absolute stud on and off the field and one that should be a great role model for the next generation.

Robinson will move in on June 1st, and join the Longhorns for their summer program before the fall season, however he has already began a relationship with new offensive coordinator Mike Yurcich.

“(Coach Yurich and I) talked all the time this summer, obviously with him trying to get me to go to Ohio State,” said Robinson. “It worked out perfectly how he got (the Texas) job. I texted right after he got it, so we had instant communication right as he got the job.”

The RB room for next season consists of some already talented backs that have proven to be able to carry the workload in the Texas offense. Though, expect a lot of Bijan Robinson next season.

“They want me to go right away,” Robinson said. “When I do get there I just want to work hard and compete and earn my spot.”

As I have noted in previous posts, the All American Bowl week allowed for the four Texas signees to really create a bond amongst themselves that won’t go unnoticed when everyone officially moves on campus.

“It was awesome. Of course we compete hard with each other but we all love each other. It’s like we have been with each other since we were freshman in high school. We are all just trying to make our mark and represent for Texas.”

I like I previously said, Bijan is a special person. I would be shocked if we didn’t see a lot of him in the fall. He shined all week in the practices, though only received a couple of carries in the game itself. After the game, Robinson told me how awesome it was to partake in a game like the AAB, and joked he wished he got the ball 10 more times.

    Get ready.

So, if he does have a good relationship with Yurcich, then the potential loss of Drayton may not be as concerning.

I'm feeling pretty good about him staying. He and Yurcich seem to be building a player/coach relationship.

Here's my take: Holy Cow, either BR wants to be a Longhorn or he's in love with a coach. How different is this than the "handlers" a lot of these guys have? I understand it's a precarious "game" recruiting is but you signed on the dotted line and an assistant coach goes to the NFL and now, well, not sure? If he's the stand up guy he's supposed to be then he'll stick at Texas. If not then well we get back to the guy's gotta be happy where he is and if it's that close of a call for him then we'll just deal with the players we have that want to be at Texas. At some point, everyone's got to chill and understand what you can control and what you cannot.

Vol Horn 4 Life Good Bye To All The Rest!

I've now watched two videos where BR said he loves Herman's vision for the program and wants to make the city proud. I have never heard once in any interview how much he loves Drayton. I believe he wants to come to Austin and play for Texas.

Robinson definitely has a moral focus and a direction in his life. I think he stays true to his vision.

    Drayton reportedly staying.
If true, this either means the pros backed off or, more significantly if true, Stan knows he has a big winner on his hands in Bijan and will up his own stock soon.
    Purely speculative, I know...
Report: Stan Drayton expected to stay at Texas

Drayton staying will help us get some backs. 3 year contract, anybody?

The contract length will be interesting since CdC announced that multi-year contracts would stop at the OC/DC level.

Bijan is being noticed at the Polynesian Bowl for his elusiveness and pass catching.

    From 247Sports:

"RB Bijan Robinson – The 247Sports Composite five-star running back from Tucson (Ariz.) Salpointe Catholic was smooth catching the ball out of the backfield and looked very slippery in the open field, making defenders miss by seamlessly changing directions and fighting for extra yards. The Texas signee is patient behind the line of scrimmage, allowing lanes to develop before exploding up field, and he's proven to be one of the more multi-dimensional offensive weapons in the nation."

Been said before...If JWhitt can stay healthy he and BR will be a handful for defenses.
I hope some other guys I'm not mentioning here are saying, "Hey, wait... What about me?!?" right now (because I know they all read this lol).
That is exactly the thing we need and have been lacking IMO. We need some guys killing it to beat the man and be the man. I hope JWhitt and BR come strong next year and everyone's play is elevated. We'll need it without CJ and Dev.

Well, that guy Ingram had a better year also.

Maybe Texas can get some 2 RB sets this year?

I still think of Bijan Robinson as Ricky Williams light. Very shifty with some power when needed.

Too bad his school is structured so he could not graduate early.
