Anthony Joseph Foyt Jr. ......along with another Texas legend Johnny Rutherford were about as good as it gets in Indy racing......Is his Chevy dealership still kicking in Houston?

Saber, I worked a construction job the summer after I graduated high school here in Shreveport (1974) ........general contractor was out of Houston and everyone of their trucks and Pickups had AJ Foyt Chevrolet stickers on them.

I know AJ & Lucy through my children's great uncle, who was a race car driver until crashes caused him to retire. Uncle Dale & Tony built AJ's first cars. I got a close up view of his driving skills at a family funeral. AJ & Lucy were in her Cadillac behind me and my family. Someone cut into the procession causing cars to scatter. AJ made sure both those Cadillacs went home with no scratches.

For my money, the greatest driver ever. He could drive any type of race and win - Indy, Lemans, Daytona, all starting at Playland Park.
