Dorbah and Robinson are playing in this all star game today. Considering the quality of players Robinson should put on a show.

On the internet is says 6pm on CBS sports. My direct tv shows it at 11pm. Anyone plan to watch and how?

I don't get CBSSN. If anybody can link to a stream for this I'll be grateful.

Don't know if it will be an option on this link or not. If you cannot find anything else, try it close to game time.

I believe it's on CBS All Access which you can stream for about $5 a month.
Some pretty good original programming, as well.

Guess my option is to record and watch tomorrow. My Directv menu shows cbssn, channel 221 at 11p.
I will file a report tomorrow. It would sure be nice to see Robinson show his stuff.

“Considering the quality of the players...”???

Do you realize that most players in this game have signed with major colleges? More signed with PAC12 teams than with teams in any other conference. This game also has signed commits to OU, aTm, Virginia, Notre Dame, Michigan, Ohio State, Georgia, Florida, Florida State, Clemson, Wisconsin, Maryland, LSU, Hawaii, BYU, and other schools as well. A relatively small percentage of the players have not signed with a major college program (yet).

This game has players from all over the USA, but understand that Hawaii high school football is quite good—especially in the trenches and at LB and the safeties.

I saw Bijan score late in the first half on a 2 yard off tackle run then went to bed.

Recruiting kickers seemed to be optional for this bowl game. Dorbah looked good, especially with Flowe.

I think he is saying that this game doesn't have the over all star power that the Under Armour and Army game have, which is probably true. Expected Robinson to do more. He didn't look much better than the ND recruit, other than a bit stronger. Did the Milton kid from Cali play in any of the all-star games ? I feel like he is the best back in the country. He played against far better talent in HS, and was amazing. Robinson has power, very shifty, but from what little I saw of him doesn't show real good vision seeing the crease or cutback at the LOS. ( From HS reels, its bvious he can run through gapping holes ). Last night on one run he tries to bounce left, and loses about 5 yards; when had he cut to his right there was a chance for a big run. He looks to have patience, but I DO NOT like "SLOW TO THE HOLE ". That simply gives defenders time to swarm to the ball. I want a RB who will hum it up in there, see the crease or cutback lane or bounce it and GO before defenders can get off blocks. You especially need that if your OL is average or not all that good ( like ours ). I think Robinson will be a better back than what we have, but not a bell cow or beast like Ricky, Earl,Jamal,Foreman, or some of the elite RBs Bama, OU and others have had. Now if he comes out and lights LSU's *** up, I will gladly eat crow; but great backs usually shine in all-star games and he got a total of about 6 carries in TWO games . I know the announcers threw a lot of hype his way in the Hawaii game, but after years of mediocre backs since Jamal ( Foreman excluded ) I will not believe the hype until I see this kid stick his foot in the ground and "go 60" vs LSU. ( meaning break that **** off and run like Dobbins, A&M's Williams, Bama RBs, Etienne, etc, etc..... ) By the way, " go 60 " means breaking off big runs and being a real threat to take it to the house from anywhere. We will find out really quick if this kid is legit. USF has athletes and LSU is LSU.
The Dorbah dude is a player......Should play this coming season judging from last night's game.

I had similar reservations about Ingram when he played in the all-star game. He looked terrible. He has turned out to be a very good back for us. How many opportunities did Robinson have to touch the ball? I know in the first all-star game it was very few.

I liked the announcers referred to Bijan as the #1 running back in the country.

I think Milton skipped all of the all star games.

I would seriously consider putting Bijan in the slot. Few would catch him in space.

Thats one of my concerns. Usually the studs on the teams get most of the playing time and most of the ball touches, or at least a lot of them. Since he got hardly any touches, that makes me wonder just how good he actually is. Your Ingram comment only solidifies what I am saying. Though touted as a stud out of HS, he hasn't done much in either season, and by most accounts probably should have been passed over by a QB turned RB this year.
I hope I am dead wrong about my reservations about Robinson, but so far nothing has alleviated my concerns for our RB situation. I get the impression he is a super kid with great character, and has some skills; but he may not be all world like he looks on video. He will have his chance to prove he is as good as hyped.

You are. Will he be the second coming of Earl or Ricky? Probably not. Will he be better than anyone since Jamal? Probably so except for that one season of Foreman when Texas had no other offense.

Texas will be a much better team with a healthy backfield and healthy DB.

It won't take much to be better than anyone since Jamal ( aside from Foreman ). We haven't had anything to speak of during the later years with respect to a game breaker.

I do not think he has Jamal's speed but he might have his shiftiness in Spades. We will see.

The kid shows some power, some shake, and some speed. He probably is a good back. I just think he could be over hyped due to his HS stats against inferior talent in that private league he was in. As I have said, he will get a chance to show his stuff early...USF and LSU gonna have some athletes to run against.

"RB Bijan Robinson - When he had the ball in his hands, Robinson showed he could be the nation’s most complete back. He can run with power and speed and has great hands out of the backfield. He has plenty of wiggle in the open field and always looks like a threat to score every time he touches the ball. He should see the field immediately at Texas this fall."

I sincerely think no one is expecting him to maintain his 1st down and a half rushing average in college. I will settle for anything around 6 yds. per carry average.

Ricky was a fullback his first two years at Texas.

I wasn't a huge fan of El Ced, but he was the model of consistency. He wasn't fast, but he had good speed, he wasn't strong, but he was strong enough. I can already tell that Bijan is both stronger and faster than Benson. He isn't Bo Jackson strong or Bo Jackson fast, but Bo was from another planet.

I think you underestimate El Ced's power, and perhaps overestimate Bijan's. Let's give him a couple of years in a college weight room and revisit this assertion.

You will see what I'm talking about, Bijan is built like a truck, he has short strong legs, not Ricky or Earl strong, but still pretty strong. Honestly comparisons to El Ced are pretty good when we talk about his power. Bijan is not Jamal Charles fast, but he is still really fast, probably 4.4 40 speed, maybe 4.3. Bo ran a 4.27 40 at the NFL combine. Jamal ran about a 4.3 flat. Bijan isn't that fast, but when you combine his strength and power, he has crazy talent.

Thanks for the stats. I'm old enough that I watched all 4 in college. Priest Holmes' stats confirm to me why I was so surprised that he had such a strong career in the NFL. As for the Ced, I'm kind of with AB. He got the yards but he didn't excite me the way Earl and Ricky did. I'm really looking forward to the Bijan/Keontay combo next year.

Priest was underutilized here. He came on strong at the end of his college career and had a phenomenal game against UNC in the Sun Bowl. His measureables weren’t anything special, but that dude ran hard, and he had heart and the will to win.
