Going to be a big day. Unsure if I've ever seen such a big signing class:

Jayden (JJ) Smith 1B/3B/C/SS George Ranch High School, Richmond, Texas
Bailey Williams SS/OF from Murrietta Valley, CA
Kyleigh Sand IF/OF from Norco, CA
Ryleigh White, RHP, Washington Township, New Jersey
    Alyssa, Washington, SS/C, Abilene, TX
Carlee Ratcliff, 3B/IF, New Boston, TX
    Jordyn Whitaker, 3B/P, Jacksonville, TX

Let's hope we end up with 7.

Especially Bailey Williams - what a great looking swing from the left side.

Scratch Kyleigh Sand off the list. She signed with Louisiana Lafayette.

Did anyone expect this? I thought she was committed to Texas

Piecing her history on this thread:

    1) was committed to DePaul
    2) learned that she was committed to Texas based on someone's contribution to this thread
    3) that information was based on her club team's web site

I don't think she has a twitter/IG account, so her "commitment" may have been hearsay. Or, a last minute change of plans by either Texas or the player.

That's why I said "I hope we end up with 7".

Still haven't seen any confirmation about
Jayden (JJ) Smith 1B/3B/C/SS George Ranch High School, Richmond, Texas or
Bailey Williams SS/OF from Murrietta Valley, CA
    as signing today with Texas?

NB you want to jump in here?

Looks like Bailey Williams is the lone unknown out there. And looks like often the case is their club team is a good source of did-she-sign-or-not?

The Redlands Daily Facts had an article yesterday on that area's athletes expecting to sign Letters Of Intent and Bailey Williams was listed as a U. of Texas softball recruit.

Softball is the only remaining sport on the official Texas website, Texassports.com, that has not reported or issued a statement naming all its 2020 recruiting signees? Appears Coach White has an issue in finalizing this recruiting class?

Possibly some last minute flips away or towards us. We'll see what we see I guess.

Blue - confirmed through social media and/or Texas softball
Pink - unsure, still waiting for confirmation
    Red - signed elsewhere!

The San Bernadino paper published a list of softball signees from area high schools
this morning and Bailey Williams was not listed for Texas or any other college. I checked and other athletes from her high school were included, so.........??

I did find it odd that we saw tweets about Bailey making her official visit to Texas last month, but nothing from Sand (considering they are teammates from California).

As it appears Jordyn Whitaker was our last pledge, I'm happy it worked it for her and Texas (if there were scholarship fund issues in taking more than 6 players).

It appears all of our 2020 commits were at the Longhorn camp this last weekend!

Thanks for the link. I had to look at the date of the article and read this carefully and then go back to the Texas archives to November:
Softball inks six players to its 2020 signing class - University of Texas Athletics
(sorry, I'm kinda of a trivia pursuit nut)
So she mailed in (faxed) in her NLI in November and this (article) must have been a symbolic signing done at the high school because yesterday was also the day for football signing?

Yeah yesterday was national signing day for every sport. So if you didn't sign in December then you signed yesterday. I guess this was just her way of doing it publicly like many athletes do. Or she could have done this twice as I know a couple of athletes have done.
