Vol Horn 4 Life Good Bye To All The Rest!

Baylor won 52-45, but it wasnt close because of some stellar defensive play. Baylor quite frankly is the worst #1 ranked team I've ever seen. Even the announcers said Baylor has played like this a lot lately and will lose if they keep doing this.

Shaka did live up to his normal expectations with the team mostly hanging out and jacking up 3's going 3 for 17 and 17%. They shot 18 for 59 on the night or 30%.

Why dont we just go ahead and lose out to guarantee Shaka gets fired. I'm convinced we need a major melt down ala losing to Kansas in football to get him gone.

With 9-10 guaranteed wins on this awful schedule we only have 14 on the year. 14-10 and 4-7 in conference...in the Big XII who is likely to only get 4 teams in the dance, maybe 5 if OU can get a few more wins. 6 of the 10 teams have a .500 or worse conference play. Statistically that's hard but tells how bad we are in a bad conference. Pathetic. I dont know why I'm so disappointed because I knew this is where we'd be before the first tipoff.

I laughed out loud at old65horn.

Only 4, likely 5 more games and then it's over gents. No way the Shaka-con makes it another season.

We bemoan the lack of fundamentals on the football team (tackling, pursuit angles, WR separation, etc.), but our inability to make shots at the rim is more egregious in my book

I go on mini-rants about this, but what makes Shaka Smart's teams so unwatchable is not the losses, but how bad they are at fundamentals. Nobody wants to watch fundamentally unsound teams that look like they need more practice time. It was why minor leagues and preseason scrimmages in all sports are not as popular with the public. People want to see college and pro teams that look like they know what they are doing and can do what they do well.

Tweets during the game said they heard "Fire Shaka!" coming from the student sections. Holy cow, it's reached a new low. Season ticket holder here but I actually didn't make the game Monday so I can't confirm. It's getting harder and harder to fight downtown traffic only to see us shoot 17% from 3-pt range and 33% overall while getting the Horns down in your face by opposing fans as you exit Club Erwin.
