Sorry, but this game deserves its own thread. I am sure most will agree that the second half was the most enjoyable half of Texas basketball all season. Some will look at the glass as half full because of the Shaka saga and all but I enjoyed it immensely. And if you missed it, I am sure you will have plenty of more opportunities to see it. Do Hamm and Cunningham = HAVOC?

I have been eating crow 3x a day since the WVA game. Actually, its not bad. Hoping for more crow if the Horns continue the string against blowU.

Considering the injuries and the way the whole season has played out, a 4 game winning streak is truly unexpected and somewhat remarkable. Surprise surprise.

OU is definitely playing well also and will be tough to beat on their court.

Just finished watching the game - had a good start, trailed off late in the first half to let tech take the lead, great second half. May have been the best game to watch this year.

They finished so strong. The opposite from most of the year.

The team's back is against the wall and they are fighting. They are getting max effort and exploiting opponent weaknesses.

I wonder if the injuries helped pair the roster down in a way that each person has a clear role, helping player know what is asked of them and the coaches to know what to ask.

Remaining schedule is very unfriendly for Tech (Baylor and the Rock Chalks), we have the Oklahoma schools where a split is likely, Ou has us on Senior night and then is TCU's Senior Night. A 2 or 3 way tie for third is not out of the question between some combination of UT, TT and Ou. Given the strength and the top of this league, I think a third/fourth place finish would be remarkable. Granted we might be seeded fifth due to various tie breakers. But two weeks ago, no one was even talking about the thought of a share of third place.

Like most things in life, it's not where you start, but rather where you finish. Great effort by a group of young men that were not even supposed to be on the court.

Best game of year, best effort of year. This team has been hard to watch most of season but since the second half of the TCU game someone flipped the switch. They still have a lot of work to get into the NCAA but after Iowa State debacle I thought they would lose the rest of their games instead they have won 4 straight and if they can go into Norman and get a win then suddenly its a very realistic path to a berth.

Where has Brockingham been all season? If everyone on the team played as hard as him Texas would be top 10.

Good question and good point. I do think the guys now on the court are leaving everything on the court, playing unselfishly--passing better.

The guards still need coaching to help them stop the excessive dribbling--getting trapped, leading to desperate shots, turnovers-- and find the open man in the paint or for the jumper. It still boggles my mind how Shaka has not coached this team to be better passers and better at attacking the paint, considering all the talented big men he's recruited here. :deadhorse:
