Since when has anyone taken Herbie the Cesspool seriously?

I can give little credence to any "man" that lets Stevie Wonder pick out his clothes. I was ashamed to be seen riding the elevator at Memorial Stadium with anyone dressed that poorly.

I'd suggest reading up on the current state of research and the FDA approval process before dismissing him out of hand. This has nothing to do with being negative and everything to do with being pragmatic.

I'd suggest reading up on the nuances of sarcasm.

Your reference to the "cesspool" comment he made a few years back doesn't indicate sarcasm.

Yes, it does, but I'm not going to get drawn into one of the myriad pissing matches you like to start around here. Have a good one.

This is now serious - Aunt Sally's Praline Shop in New Orleans has shutdown by "government order".

Government order probably means just that - only orders to the government.

Perhaps, but the shortfall is so great now on the front line of medical care that young and healthy college athletes are way towards the end of the line. Secondly, production of all these resources depends on a healthy workforce being available. There is no way to guarantee that for awhile.

I have an older sister (age 70) who nearly, nearly went to NO in February. She and some friends were going to tour the WWII museum there. They decided not to make the trip (for reasons totally unrelated to coronavirus, which wasn't seen as an issue there at the time). That's what I call Kokura Luck.

End of April will look like nothing like March in terms of supply. Shoot, my local grocery store had TP today.

Those guys don't miss much from a point spread on hundreds of games on a any weekend to any other odds you can think of on almost anything. Including this bull ****.

Look, it becomes apparent their is no team sports nor revenue from those sports until there are fans in the stands. Even if the CCP Virus outbreak is better contained this Fall, it will still be around and a threat for a resurgence. Until a vaccine is generally available next year at best, Social Distancing is the new normal. It may well be the Fall of 2021 before people can be in the stands together without fear of suffering greatly or dying from it.

The even less understood asymptomatic carriers are the wild card now. Hence inoculation is the only long term hope.

There will be no reliable vaccine before sometime in 2021 so if that is a criterion, there will no school activities (including classes) until the fall of 2021. Having all players and coaches and onfield hanger oners tested daily would work for games without crowds - which might not be too bad for a certain night game in Baton Rouge in September.

Once a positive test came it would all come to a stop, and the odds of that happening would be great. I will be surprised if we see football in 2020. With that, many colleges will fold their tents on many sports programs starting with men's sports due to title 9. Lots of kids gonna lose scholarships. Only major sports will survive. Very sad deal. Look at ISU right now cutting salaries and stuff.

While the PGA has postponed the Masters and PGA Championship until the fall, The 2020 Open Championship (aka The British Open) scheduled to be played 16-19 July has been canceled.
