He was on the skids just 2 days ago. Given the speed of his turnaround, my money is on hydrochloroquine.

Is JPMorgan using the same models that the CDC is using? Maybe there is hope.

I agree in principle though. Need to start opening up the economy. I was thinking May 4.

That is a stunning comparison. And a source even Haters can't dispute.
Maybe Trump and the Task Force did some things right.

This one is also somewhat striking with regard to Europe
(i think it also makes you wonder if there is something genetically unique going on with the germanic tribes - and whether the same holds true in those ethnically german parts of the US?)

Here is an argument for sanctioning CCP officials for their coronavirus cover-up

" .... The Chinese Communist Party has mounted an aggressive media campaign to conceal how its paranoid institutional failings fueled the coronavirus outbreak, positioning itself instead as the benevolent savior of populations now suffering the consequences. Astonishingly, many Western media outlets continue to republish unreliable statistics about the virus’s spread and decline within China, often while comparing their own governments’ response unfavorably.

But the confirmed timeline of Communist Party behavior in those critical first few weeks tells a different story. According to a recent study, the number of cases could have been reduced by 95% had Wuhan officials acted just three weeks earlier. Instead, they spent that time destroying lab samples and threatening whistleblowers such as Li Wenliang...."

German people as a whole are anal about following rules and for the most part even when there isn't a pandemic they are very private people.

Compared to Germany, almost everybody has bad healthcare. I wouldn't adopt a government system, but if I was going to, theirs would be a good one to emulate.

However, the real distinction between them and Italy isn't healthcare. It's cultural. Italians live in close quarters and with extended family. It's very easy to transmit disease that way, including to the elderly. Germans don't do that.

Germans also follow rules with great rigidity. Italians are sloppy and arbitrary about rules.

Italians are also affectionate - lots of hugs and kisses. Germans are stoic with all but the closest friends and relatives. I see that around here, but in the former Prussian areas, it's even more so. Those people walk around with a permanent scowl. Not much love with those folks.
