Typical politician, say anything, right or wrong to get in the media

Look in Houston where Sylvester Turner and Dora, the Explorer had daily televised press conferences with NOTHING to say.

At what point does Beto's father in law say, "Enough is enough, go get a job"

    • I've never considered Beto particularly "dangerous." He does personify "dumb and weak" though.

His name is O'Rourke. He is just mad because he always has a cough, and now even LeBron looks at him weird.

My neighbor is a DR. He talked to me yesterday about all the states that opened early and the predictions we'll see a spike in infections 2 weeks from May 4.

He said he assured his patients it isn't going to happen and I think he's right.

Just curious, Georgia opened 4-5 weeks ago. I assume if they would have seen a "spike" CNN would have been all over that crap considering its their back yard. I haven't heard a peep.

Edit: I couldn't figure out how to copy and paste the table, but new cases in Georgia are actually declining since it reopened on 4/30. Oh how I know the libs wanted cases to double.

I consider him dangerous politically because there are enough women who are charmed by his feminist personna. They are incredibly shallow and his showing against Cruz should be a wake-up call because THIS IS TEXAS and I never would have believed he would have garnered that many votes.

Virtue signaling feminism is a drug and a way to appear to be good and progressive. It's style without any responsibility; anarchy without any accountability.

Beto got a crap-ton of money from limousine liberals out of state. Coupled with Ted's early dismissive attitude towards the race it gave BobFrank a lot of early momentum that Ted ended up having to really fight to overcome. It shouldn't have been a close race, but Cali and NY libs nearly stole it.

He did get a lot of out of state money from limousine liberals. However, there was real appeal. The same types gave money to Abortion Barbie just a few years ago, and it made little difference.

Beta was able to connect with suburban female voters (who have been moving away from the GOP) and attract new voters. He sucked in the debate, but he was good on the campaign trail and in person. Furthermore, he had coattails. His candidacy probably made the difference with Pete Sessions and John Culberson. We also lost 12 state house seats in suburban areas and had several very close calls in places like Collin County that had been Republican strongholds for decades.

Beta is a big *****, but he is a force to be feared.

My own daughter voted for him. She kept her Beto sign up in her front yard Long after the election. I had to grit my teeth every time I went over there. Don’t know what the attraction is, but he definitely appeals to a segment of the population.

Yep. A huge number of voters vote for the candidate who makes them feel best. If none of them make them feel good, then they vote for the candidate who makes them feel the least crappy. (See 2016 election.)

Incredible - that so many people focused on appearance and paid no attention at all to substance (or in the case of Beto, lack of substance).

bend over O'Dork doesn't need substance, all he needs to do is win and the DNC will tell him what to do from there. Democrat leadership isn't leadership at all, they are a bunch of puppets for the DNC. All they have to do is what the DNC tells them to do.

It is pathetic, but we're not a very deep people. We largely don't vote on issues. I'm not sure that it's necessarily appearance. Beta isn't an ugly guy, but he's not Brad Pitt either. I think the appeal is about his style and his tone. At least when he was running for Senate, he seemed "cool" and was pretty likable. Presidential candidate Beta was wildly different.

Virtue signaling is the only requirement for a Liberal to believe they are capable of being President of the greatest military and economic super power in the world. They are so parochial in their vision that their fantasy world IS the world. That's all that is needed.

Beto raises $$$ to support Texas House Dems in exile...

Texas House Democrats receive $600K in donations from Beto O'Rourke

"One week into their quorum bust in the nation’s capitol, Texas House Democrats received an infusion of cash from Democrat Beto O’Rourke to help cover costs for their indefinite stay outside state lines.

O’Rourke raised $600,000 for the lawmakers through his Powered By People PAC and said he wired money to party officials on Monday..."

"O’Rourke, a prolific fundraiser during his senate campaign against U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz in 2018, said in an interview that he expects that his PAC will cut another check to the lawmakers before their quorum bust is done."

This kind of thing is more evidence to me that the D party is essentially in control of the country. They do what they want. There is always money to support them. The media always portrays them as righteous.

Beto got as many votes against Raphael because Raphael is a slimey toad who will do or say anything for a vote. He is Lying Ted

Beto is a nothing who seems charming to some gullible people

he runs well against a Republican because a lot of people hate them.
Against Dems he doesn’t do that well

Cruz is one of the very few constantly conservative Republicans. He's taken flak for making up with Trump after the 2016 election, but if he didn't, the same media chumps would have talked incessantly about him holding a grudge.

Beta-male runs well against Republicans as he has the entirety of the media-entertainment-Big Tech complex tossing his salad on a daily basis. When running against other Democrats, he has to share the *** licking and so is forced to run on his own merits, of which there are few.

He is a fake Mexican who sponges off his rich father in law, and rides a skateboard as a adult, so he does have that.

Duck: it is a mistake to think that guys like Beto run well against republicans just because some biggies help out. Lots of people despise republicans for reasons of policy. He is no more a fake mexican for going by Beto than Raphael Cruz is a fake anglo for going by Ted. There are lots of legit reasons for finding O'Rourke deficient.

    Likewise Ted

A large number of people who check a box for a candidate with a D by their name are not voting FOR the candidate but rather voting against ANYONE with an R next to their name.

We will NEVER know why so many are willing to vote against their own personal interests. But they keep doing it and it is how we get fools in office like Lina Quarantina even when nobody on either side had a bad thing to say about Ed Emmett.

It is the same reason we risk seeing crappy outcomes in the next State cycle, although at least now some effort will be required to vote only for one party since Straight Ticket is no longer permitted with a single entry...

Maybe people vote against their own interests? I see a lot of Dems make that argument.
How about we let people decide for themselves what is in their best interests?

some people vote Republican because they are anti abortion and their family votes democratic because they are pro. I don’t think the issue is worth sneezing over and think they are ignoring their own interest by not voting their pocketbook.
But they get to decide what is most important to them and not me.
I think people who buy from Walmart or Amazon are supporting restraint of trade and pandering to China. They think they are getting bargains and convenience. Their call and their money

Cruz never had yard signs and bumper stickers that said "Ted!". He's always gone by Ted Cruz - which sort of sounds non-Anglo to me anyway.

Beta-male ran well because the had the entirety of the media/entertainment complex to toss his salad and tell everyone how wonderful he was. The fact that he listened to a subscription based satellite radio company in his car was supposed to be proof of his hipness.

Proof of him being entirely a media fluff job was when he ran for president, and did such a horrible job at it he dropped out even before the Iowa primary. If he truly was the second coming of JFK like everyone said he was, he would have at least lasted at least as long in the primary as the Commie, the small town mayor who's claim to fame was he has sex with men, and the senile old man who finger rapes his staff and shits into a diaper.

But the bloom was off the rose or turd in his case, and there wasn't 24 hours of media *** licking to fluff him up, hence he had to run on his own merits - of which there are few.

Duck, are you saying that widespread dislike for Raphael's arrogance and apparently ill temper were not major reasons why some people voted for the empty suit?

And how come our great ex president, who was robbed, robbed I say, in the last election found him so objectionable as to make up the epithet "LYING TED" for him?

Is Raphael a liar or was PRESIDENT PUZZY GRABBER just spinning a lie himself?
